    Airbags deflate on their own.

Upgrade in what way? lighter? cheaper? more durable? holds an edge longer? longer?

Lighter is a plus. As is cheaper and durability.

My Benchmade didn't hold an edge that long.

I like the serrated edge on it, though

Very similar to my bench made. Found it in the mud at work. Steamed it clean and oiled it. Good as new.

I want the bench made H&K auto. That thing is sweet.

In that area, Wüsthof is my preferred brand. Pricy, but they last forever. I'm still on a set I bought in 2006.

I like knives, I don't have one of this brand yet but I've checked these out and think I might pick one out.

I think my Benchmade is about done. I need to grab a new knife. I don't want to spend a ton of money on one, but want one like what I used to have (folding, with a serrated edge would be nice).

Any more suggestions since last time I posted here?

There is somewhere on here where that topic is discussed. I recall posting a link to my go to kitchen knife.

This is what I carry now. So I'm looking for something similar but a little cheaper.

I like that it's automatic, and I like the serrated edge.

Carrying a Kershaw Leek now. I don't like big knives in my back pocket. This is the perfect size.

    Re: Knives

Interesting, NJ lower court ruled that possession of an edged weapon was not covered under the Heller decision and the person who opened their door with a machete was actually charged with illegal possession. This charge was reversed by the state supreme court. Wonder how this will impact people who own edged weapons in other states, is it a crime to answer your door if you have a folding knife is your pocket? Personally I do not think so but that is just me. I know my local police do not think so - well I assume so anyhow because some officers and I often BS and practice throwing knives at a dart board - we bet on who will come closest to a bulls eye. Additionally, I once answered my door with a sidearm clearly visible in my holster - turned out it was a police officer and at first he seemed worried but I kept my hands away from my weapon and he relaxed and allowed me to explain that I was the person who called the 911 after hearing a young girl screaming in terror somewhere behind my house - which is why I had my weapon handy in the first place in case some nut had harmed a little girl and decided to try and get into my house to lie low for a while and I was not about to let that happen.
