It was the setup they did the whole tour, it was just for show, sorry I could have been clearer about that.

Yeah the quality is better than I expected.

Interesting commentary and such. The Diamond Head guys sound like they are about to pass out, lol

    Can't wait for the others!

2nd show is out now, too. I'm half way through and doesn't seem to include as much commentary/discussion as the first show.

OK all 4 are out now. After listening to all 4, I wish DMB would do something like this. It's really rather incredible.

    <DMBc>

I'm trying to picture what it would be like if they did. There would have to be some awesome liberations. Maybe even Let You Down.

Guests? Just think of the possibilities. Neil Young, John Mayer, Bela Fleck, Warren, Santana, Alanis, Vusi, Trey, Roots, Ben Harper, John Popper, Lanois, Emmylou, Paul Simon, Robert Randolph.

Metallica did a lot of covers with the artists who wrote them, so maybe they do Watchtower with Dylan?

How about Stone with Kronos Quartet, like it is on BTCS? Minds would be blown.

Bringing back former members/touring members such as Butch, Peter, Lovely Ladies. Some sort of tribute to Roi.

And, let's face it, we'd probably have to suffer through a Williedigger.

You're probably right. Plus don't forget the deluxe box set of those shows for $250.

I like both of those bands but don't follow either close enough to know anything about this. Sounds commonplace for them?

I saw the Crowes at the NYC shows right after the hiatus. Awesome.

    Ha, no doubt.

Metallica did it for $19.81 for a 4-night ticket.

Not sure how much the downloads are

No, they'll sell the box for $50 with a $20 fee for shipping and handling that doesn't even arrive on the day you paid for. Thanks, Musictoday.

What I also loved was that the whole history of Metallica was on display. The beginning non-famous members of the band, Cliff's dad on video, Jason, Dave Mustaine.

Just glad to see all those hatchets buried now after all the years of fighting.

On Saturday my band is opening up for a Metallica tribute band called Blackened that is very big in this area. Their frontman was one of the ones who actually got to jam onstage with Metallica at these shows, I believe it was 12/5. His name is John Dent.

Judging by pictures of their new rig, gotta be a US stadium tour this year. Has to be. It's just too big to lug around the world.

Last time I saw them in person was in 2012. Ironically also in SF. Still really great show.

Nice. I'd prefer stands as well. Rather than than a Metallica mosh pit Any certain songs you hoping for? My favorite is Dyers Eve. 0/5 on it though.
