FWIW, I have run into a few brewery owners/head brewers that are full of themselves....maybe it comes with the territory....

Well good luck. A box from hill farmstead doesn't sound too shabby
Been on the lookout for Black Racer but haven't found it yet. Missed it at my regular store and seems like no one else has gotten it. Strange, thought it would be a fairly big release.

Still no Parabola around these parts. I bet it hits this Friday.

Black Racer is solid. It's no SSR or Wookey Jack though.

I thought DFH 61 sucked. Smelled like cheap chianti or something. Didn't work for me at all.

    61 was quite underwhelming.

Yeah I read that a couple weeks ago I think. It's certainly interesting. I don't drink that stuff so I don't really care, but am interested to see how that goes for them.

I'm not even gonna bother trying 61. I've heard half a dozen people tell me it sucked.

Went back to college for a journalism prof who was retiring (awesome guy, good mentor). My old stomping ground had Burton Baton on tap. I was a very happy person.

Anyone care to weigh in on whether Big John is worth seeking out? One of the Goose Island beers that hasn't been released in Colorado until now.

i had it over winter break. i gave it a 4 out of five then. which probably is a 3.5-4 in my ranking system now. not super amazing, but good. nothing particularly stood out when i had it.

Big John is a good beer. Nothing special. Just a good all around stout.

Yeah, there are a few. Actually there are quite a few. But, in general 95% of the people in the industry are better than the average industry guy in any other field. Its just something about beer.

But, you get a couple of WBC or GABF awards and sell more beer than almost everyone else. I can imagine you get pretty cocky.

The Central Waters Barley Wine was very high on the scale and several notches above the Bolt Cutter that we cracked later.

That Hi-Fi Rye was a big surprise on the day and the Ninja vs. Unicorn superb!

    I think Bolt Cutter sucks

but I do have a Ninja Vs. Unicorn that I plan on having tomorrow with a buddy of mine.

DLD was just full of complete ridiculousness....here i am holding a pour of Cigar City Hunahpu's in one hand and Cognac Dark Lord De Muerte in the other....just stupid

Picked up a bomber of Great Divide 19th anny. Sounds amazing:
