I've never lived outside this state so it's going to be a wild experience for me. Ultimately, we're saving money, moving up in our careers, and setting forth on an adventure our marriage desperately needs. It's all good really.

We haven't bought tickets for this two night stand yet, you know, financially strapped and all, but eventually when things settle down we'll be making it work. We do however have tickets for the Pittsburgh show June 6, our home venue for the past 8 years. Reading about the lack of tailgating is concerning, bc we're so used to Starlake and it's enormous gravel lots and "best in the biz" tailgating. Honestly, we've been to 20 shows and Starlake's tailgating is definitely the best we've seen. With the addition of Bela to the lineup though I can let the tailgating slide. We were lucky to catch him at Starlake last year and that Typical Situation was magical. Truly.

Whiteysax, if you're reading this, we jammed at Bristow 2012 (i think that was the year). Ants tailgate was rolling that year, great turnout. Doubt you remember me. Would love to check out your band when we get to CO.

I look forward to moving into your beautiful state and hope we don't make a mess of things while we're there. Until the end of August friends.
Nice! Congrats on the move! WV is beautiful. That said, I am sure you'll find plenty to like in this state

Welcome to Colorado, hope you enjoy it. I am sure you have visited Greeley and not moving cold. Greeley is an interesting town. I went to university there and the town eventually grew on me. Although the town has changed a ton since I was there 17 years ago, yikes.

As for DMB concerts in colorado, the tailgating is typically fairly good. DMB has never played this venue and quite frankly the venue will not wow anybody. The other thing you will have to get use to is we don't get a show every year.

Congrats on the move, I am sure you will settle in nicely.

average for both questions. Venue sits smack middle in a business park. Basic outdoor venue.

Star Lake is magical, severely underrated venue, love that place. You wont find the tailgating at Fiddler's that you are accustomed to. There will be several pre-gaming options posted here. Find one you like and meet some new peeps. I'm Whitey's secretary, I'll alert him on your message. Welcome to CO!

I have a feeling Bela will guest during the acoustic set, leaving room for the Ladies. As we saw this weekend, they aren't scared to double up on guests as long as the list includes the Ladies.

That being said, how's everyone feeling about our set of shows? I'm still pretty hopeful that there will be more variety added to the tour by the time late August rolls around.

I really could have done without spoon. Over two hours of openers is crap. Especially when it's a week night and starts at 7. Storm was a buzz kill, not much anyone can do about that. Decemberists were just amazing. Always happy when I see them. They showed gratitude for everyone staying. Crane wife, rake, and the other hazards song they did were highlights.

at the grace potter concert last september, lightning took out the power during trombone shorty's set. at first they didn't know what the hell to do, but then shorty and 2 others walked to the very front of the stage and started jamming until the power kicked back on. it was pretty cool. i was towards the back and was still able to hear them.

The best one is Dave Matthews tribute band. Whiteysax plays with them a bunch. Every now and then they throw me a bone and let me play a song or two.
