Spoon was my first thought after LBV also. Fun fact: my brief search on the almanac revealed she has only guested with the full band once. I guess its not that surprising, but I just assumed it was more than once.

This hotel is downtown and just opened, definitely walkable to the venue.

Yes, it's very close to the venue. I walked past it yesterday. It is brand new and looks nice. Also, this site is an option if you don't mind renting an apartment or a home. www.airbnb.com. I rented an apartment in downtown Nashville for a couple of days later this year.

And there we have it. Tonight in Raleigh, Marsalis & The Ladies both...so now we can't rule the ladies out of Tuscaloosa (or the rest of the tour for that matter)

Eather the band compleatly shits on us like Arkansas, or the band doesn't even know the difference between this venue and oak mountain and it's an ok set. The other option is the band realizes this is a new veune in the state of Alabama and they are thrilled to play here and they trough us a bone like they did with crazy easy at Orange beach. Who the hell knows with this band.

Or he somehow remembers what it was like playing in Tuscaloosa in 1993/94 (played at The Tusk - now it's called Rounders for anyone familiar with Bama) and he totally delivers?

I just wanna see him play there, that venue is really awesome. It opened during my last year of college there and they've had some killer shows come through after I left...

Yeah I have zero idea how this show is gonna be. We're pretty much guaranteed LL at this show. If they come out I may just hit the road and get a head start on my 2 hour drive home. They're not gonna guest on a song I haven't heard already or enjoy that much. And if for some reason they do a song I really enjoy they'll ruin it.

I said the same thing about the Southaven show but it was very full. Couldn't see the lawn from my seat but it seemed full from my perception. They'll sell a bunch the day of show. It'll probably be almost sold out by showtime.

Geez! I just looked. There's like 10 rows completely open between the two side sections. The floor will look full with everyone spread out. But there's way too many tickets left for it to be such a popular band.

Just looked up my seat. I got handicap seats in front of me which means extra leg room and nobody in front of me that's gonna be a major tool.

Yeah was in the pit for southaven and I thought for a while that there was going to be plenty of empty seats. Then the next minute I turned around and It was packed to the max. The lawn looked like it was shoulder to shoulder packed.

This band does nothing logically. There is zero planning. We will have Emmylou out there on Long Black Veil and the LL will be there too screaming and dancing the stupid arm swing all over Emmylou. The band's management is absolutely clueless since 2000. Mark it down, this will happen.

What if its halfway through the set? If the LL are in Atlanta, they'll be in Tuscaloosa. I don't hate them as much as a lot of people on here, but I could do without them. But I have come to grips with being a bitchy old DMB fan who likes a minimalist approach when it comes to people on stage. I could go for a regular 5 or 6 musician show with a bunch of old songs I've seen 10 times and be happy. But, you have to just get your head right and go into the show knowing, generally at least, what's coming if you want to have fun.

DMB just isn't in demand anymore. And it's a mid-week Alabama show not in a major city. I saw tons of people trying to dump their pit tickets to Southaven for face or less and weren't getting bites.

But the pit for the venue is huge. It's basically the lawn except in front of the stage. So I guess you could say this venue's seating is essentially backwards.
