so do people only not like this movie because it won best picture? because if you don't look at the fact that it won big picture, and ignore all the hype around it, the movie itself is pretty good, IMO. The cinematography is great.

Yeah, he conveniently placed it in a spot where the kid was in the picture for the entire two minute freakout, then he conveniently left the room so the brother could return to get the camera. And the kid conveniently did see it sitting there filming his little hissy fit.

Nothing spontaneous works out that convenient.

Why not? He put it on the kid's desk...the kid obviously has a small room. And he obviously wasn't paying attention to anything but his freakout.

The kid leaves the room so his brother can conveniently come back in? No...the way I saw it was the brother was outside somewhere waiting for him to come back out.

Brothers know each other. Know what their behavior patterns are. Why consider something a setup just because he lucked out that he came out again pretty soon afterward?
