I could MAYBE imagine him moving something that he was hired to move, and kicking it around his ship (like the opening of Ace). I bet when he was younger he was even more cocky.

Rogue One was awesome. Obviously these are all about $$$, but they're making quality movies (at least up until this point.)

I actually love the concept of standalone movies in the vein of Rogue One. Things that are legit side stories with completely different characters where you get a different take on a huge universe.

I was not very excited when they announced the Han Solo movie, and still have reservations, but I think this director change sounds like Disney doing right by the franchise/character more than it's a sign of disaster.

This is my thoughts. I like the actors for this movie but I don't want to take Han Solo away from Harrison Ford.

If they broke into some of the EU characters that'd be really great. Like I'd flip out for a Thrawn or Darth Revan movie. I'd even be more okay with a Darth Vader movie than Han Solo.

True. I just meant maybe some of his EU adventures would be great on film.

    Vader, really?

I mean, there's nothing they could say or do that would keep me from seeing this movie, but that's out there.

I mean, why would there not be Vadar? It takes place during Vadar's reign... would be kind of stupid to not to take advantage of that.

I'm not sure if Ann Crispin's Han Solo Trilogy is canon or not - but those books focused on early Han Solo

From what I recall, Vader was mentioned in those books but never interacted with Han.

why would vader interact with han?

why would a small time smuggler on the edges of space put himself in a position to interact with the #2 of the universe?

Let me clarify my stance on Vadar... I would take Vadar showing up in a Care Bears movie if it meant more Vadar. So, being in a Han movie is totally cool with me b/c it actually makes some sense.

But the story scale of Rogue One is one big enough to justify Darth Vader's presence. They could have even justified a larger role for him given that the Empire's prized weapon was at risk. I don't know that his presence is anything but gratuitous in the everyday activities of a smuggler.

Yeah my bet is on him not playing Vader. He's like 6'6 and is experienced at playing a character in a costume. I'm putting money on him being a wookie or some other kind of alien. No way Vader makes an appearance, it doesn't fit.

The only reason Vader would be in it is if they're showing some kind of cause/effect where Vader does something and it affects Han's mission. I don't see them interacting.

Yeah but he's probably gone up against a star destroyer and Vader could have been on it. Not directly interacting but given fan boys a slight chubby.
