    1) In Canada, don't know if that makes a difference or not.
    2) Trying to get files for a friend who is relatively computer illiterate.

I'm OK with that. I'd rather see them wrap things up cleanly than see them drag it out to make a few more bucks and have the quality decline.

From that same article, regarding a potential spinoff: "nothing concrete has been discussed yet."

Makes me think some producers are considering the idea.

A prequel definitely needs to happen. The universe is created and the fans are there, seems like a good idea to me.

Considering how popular the series is, it would only make sense to have a spinoff. There's already a prequel book out there that was written by a couple of people with GRMM's consulting/consent. Seems like some low hanging fruit.`

I can't imagine there's enough people opposed to them not making a prequel series to even justify opposition.

Thing is, what comprises for all of you what a "prequel series" would/could be? just saying that, even with what they've already done so far, and the more badassary that's sure to come by the end of s8, it feels like they'll have all in all covered most (if not all) the cool angles on Robert's whole rebellion. I mean I still got a good strong feeling we'll get a flashback before the end of s8 of seeing Rhaegar ride up and plant those silver flowers on Lyianna's lap instead of his own damn wife!

^ thats the problem. last year I thought a Robert's Rebellion prequel would be fucking awesome. I still do. but they've already shown so much, by the time it's done, a Rebellion prequel might be irrelevant.

I don't know what made me think of it, but after the credits roll on the series finale, I'd really like a short, 10 second season of Gendry rowing, just looking around for anyone

They could almost do it in a 4-part mini-series... not exactly a whole season, but not just one movie either?

Part 1: Tourney at Harrenhall, "abduction" of Lyanna, death of Rickard and Brandon Stark, ends with Jon Arryn calling his banners for young Eddard and Robert.

Part 2: Beginnings of war, including Robert becoming the figurehead; Eddard returning to the North to call his banners as well as his marriage to Catelyn.

Part 3: Battle heavy... focus on Battle of Summerhall and Battle of the Bells (Maybe Ashford too?); ends with Rhaegar and Robert's forces meeting at Trident

Part 4: Battle at Trident (Rhaegar's death), sack of Kings Landing, Tower of Joy and Eddard returning home.

Of course, each of these would be around 2 hours. So... if you split each episode in half, that's easily an 8-episode season. So yeah, maybe doing a whole season would work after all.

Yeah, the Defiance at Duskendale would be super cool. Before Robert's Rebellion, but if they could somehow incorporate it, that would be awesome.

"Littlefinger wasn’t a great warrior and he didn’t come from nobility, so it’s more than possible he concocted this plan because the love he felt as a young boy wasn’t being returned, and he just wanted to destroy the joy of others and see people act on impulse."

So he did it because he liked chaos and wanted to be a kill joy? Nah, I'd need more than that to believe it. Littlefinger always seems to have a specific motive for any chaos he creates. What does he get out of it? How does it help him gain prominence or achieve his purposes? Those are the types of questions that need to be asked when developing a theory.

Now, considering these questions, I could see this coming from someone like Varys. We'd have to take into account some book stuff, and I don't remember if it's covered in the show so I'll leave it there.

To be clear, I do think it's reasonable to question whether Rhaegar's "abduction" of Lyanna was really that, or if she went along willingly (which I believe). I'm just not convinced from the evidence presented that it was LF who propagated the "lie".

Underwood would convince Ramsay that he would prefer to simply be Lord of the Dreadfort leading to Underwood becoming Lord of Winterfell and Warden of the North.
