well when I saw the thread this newly topped, I figured maybe there'd be a post about some of David Ayer's comments earlier today (or maybe technically yesterday?) But anyway, he'd wanted to nip one particular fan theory in the bud right but quick. The whole idea that Jared Leto's Joker in this particular DC universe is in fact the assumed dead Batman's Robin, Jason Todd, who I guess sort of would've went underground for awhile, then sprouted back up later at THIS Joker incarnation. Ayer made a pretty point blank statement, right to the camera, it ain't the deal.
Now, would he and WB actually be stupid enough to try and pull a "Cumberbatch really isn't Kahn, we swear to god!!!"-STID move, that of course almost practically NOBODY believed. And where JJ Abrams himself later came out and said it was a huge mistake to be so secretive about a character identity like that, he really regrets it.
So what with all the forward trajectory this SS movie's already gotta have going for it to get past a shit load of ambivalence over BvS, I hope for their sake the Joker is just who he says he is (well he probably won't do that, just so that it's not Jason Todd
