Then let's replace it with some other word that's far worse, but as long as it wasn't 'related', then it should be fine, right? Like 'retarded' or 'faggot', or let's use some racial slurs. My point is, there are better word choices. You can call it whatever you want, I'm simply stating that when certain words are so comfortable to use that they unconsciously become normal jargon/replacement for negative things, it shouldn't be 'ok'. My feelings aren't hurt. I've been guilty of the same thing; in my much younger years, of course. Giving it some pause and reflecting on what the words actually mean is something most educated people would do. Enough off-topic debate. Carry on whatever way you want. I won't comment on the matter any further.

I think someone asked if these things ever get released early or show up early and I just wanted to answer that by saying I got my tracking info for this and it says it'll be at my house Monday it's already in transit. I ordered it with the 2 day shipping option.

This is one of my fav shows. The tape already out there sounds damn-near perfect so I'm excited to hear how this is cleaned up. Incredible release.

This sounds so good. One of my favorite versions of last stop. The stone sounds a little fast for some reason but overall (so far) this is a great release.

    Nice.

I'm more of a Aux cord kinda guy, so I'll have to wait the extra few days for the download link.

CD's shipped out today I think, just checked the website.

I received my shipping notification on Tuesday afternoon. Selected standard shipping and it says I should receive it on Wed the 17th. Hopefully I'll get it this time. Stupid FedEx Smartpost. We'll see what happens.

i live near Charlottesville so i get the CD delivered to my house usually on day 1, even with standard shipping. but we could wait until like 3 days afterwards to let others have the opportunity to get it. then we could like all get on the same internet clock and everyone press PLAY at like 8:00. then we come back here and say "aw this song sucks" or "this song is awesome" and stuff.

    Re: Live Trax Volume 41 D&T 3/13/99

got it. i'm halfway thru the show so i'll review a bit while i listen...

first - kinda funny but when you open the CD booklet, there's a rather startling closeup pic of Dave and Tim. startling because it's an early pic of Dave and he has that weird Crash Into Me video look to him. i'm looking at him, and looking at Tim, and looking at Dave, and i'm thinking......... oh yeah, they have definitely sucked each other's dicks at some point in their long friendship. might have been drug-induced, i'm not judging. but i'd put money on the fact that at some point, dicks were in mouths. and i'm also sure it was a real bonding experience.

    SOUND

very good overall. but not appreciably better than Trax 23, 24, Luther, or Radio City. but that's fine as all of these are top notch. the only real problem release was Las Vegas. and the DMBLive at Boone was a little mono sounding.

one problem though, is the imaging of the crowd. when listening on headphones, the crowd noise and applause is definitely off-center to the right. sounds like you are sitting on a far left seat in the auditorium. so that's a bit annoying. i like it when the crowd sounds center and behind you.

other than that, it's Tim's guitar on the left, Dave's guitar on the right, and Dave's voice dead center. good stuff.

    SHOW

okay immediately evident is the annoying-ass crowd. the whole 1999 tour was like that, which as we all know pissed Dave off that year. for whatever reason everyone thinks this is a two-way interaction.

but the performances are magnificent. tempo is just right, and they are playing in a technically challenging way and nailing it every song. i could tell mainly because songs like Granny and Too Much are taken to new heights! they really dig deep to bring out a lot of artistry in every song.

having an official release of Last Stop is nice.

i've had a taper pull of this show since the early 2000's but never listened to it because the audio was crap. so having this gem of a show is pristine audio quality is just AWESOME.

OVERALL - an A+ release is Live Trax 41 here. makes up for the terrible LT40 release.

and before i go, i will plead once again - please DMB management, for the love of god, release more DMB or D&T shows on Blu-Ray. and IN HIGH DEFINITION. charge more $ if you have to, we don't care. just give us the high-def goods. christ.

First, if you never listened to it, how would you know what the audio quality is? The tape Alex Coluzzi recorded is a really good recording, actually. Far from crap. Secondly, if anything is crap, it's your grammar.

    ouch! SALTY!!! daddy like.

and of course, i listened to it, silly. it was a B&P!!! what i meant was, i didn't listen to it a lot. you know, tons of nuance is lost over teh internets.

i must have gotten some other tape. i'm not here to spread jizz on Alex Coluzzi. i'm sure he's a fine man, with a good tape of this show.

but a good tape of this show is certainly not what i have. if you want, you can come over and we can listen. we can lay on my bed, belly-sides down but propping up on our elbows, you know? and bend our legs at the knees so the calves and feet kinda stand up and wave around. and maybe our bare feet will touch. but i won't make a big deal out of it if you don't.

Did you happen to notice when yours was shipped? I'm trying to get an idea of when to expect mine. (Shipped last night)

i got the ship notice email on Tuesday. here Thursday.

i think distance from Charlottesville VA makes a difference. sometimes i get it the next day, not even two days.

    So n=1 study?

I guess that is probably valid given there's only one other gay person on Earth?
