Haha, when we all got home from the show and came on ants and saw Last Stop was on the setlist, it felt like someone had shot me right in the chest...it has horrible

This is my first time reading this thread. I'm familiar with the incident, and after watching the video I have a contrasting opinion of what Carter says into his mic.

I'm almost 100% his first two sentences are "What the fuck are you doing, man? That mother fucker was right behind me" (talking to management or security). I can pick out the word "bitch" in the third sentence, possibly part of an angry statement about trench coat man. I don't see him mouth anything that resembles the word "Halloween" anywhere. It wouldn't make sense anyway as they were likely going to play Last Stop next as other people have mentioned.

Granted the band made a smart decision to end the concert quicker (ie safer), but I can't say I wouldn't be upset if Stay was played in place of Last Stop.

I will never forget the night. To this day I still think they were going to end with Halloween Last Stop which would have been the most amazing ending I have ever seen. Luckily I had already heard Last Stop that summer so I wasnt as pissed but I was livid. I saw the trenchcoat man earlier in the night wandeirng around and then saw him being handcuffed out where I proceeded to yell lynch him and "thats the guy" before being told to move along by the police.

We get back to the hotel that night and we had already know we were getting Last Stop becuase we saw the guitar being fucked with and then it was confirmed. My fraternity brother was more upset then anything I have ever seen. He sat at the desk in the hotel just downing glass after glass of whiskey. It was depressing. He looked like his wife cheated on him his son got diagnosed with Aids and his dog of ten years all died on one day.

This is one of the biggest moments in my life since I started to love Dave where I just wish one thing would have gone significantly different. Depressing I hate thinking about it.

Why did you bold Halloween? Yes, I understand the feeling in the pit of your stomach of impending doom is unbearable, and the band made a good decision in cutting the show off abruptly.

I just meant it sucks that situation occurred where Last Stop turned into Stay. What a turnaround.

Edit: Or did you mean "you weren't there...it was the worst feeling ever" as in it was much worse not hearing Last Stop after being at the concert.

It sucked, and I can get worked up even now . . . but I wouldn't say it was quite that bad!
