Ya.. I doubt it would be outdoor in early may anyway. Maybe they are talking about the "Transformed" MSG

Release show wasn't at MSG. Release show in 09 was Beacon and 05 was Roseland Ballroom.

It seems like they like to have release shows at theaters in NY...Radio City?

The only way that's possible is if the Knicks or Rangers make a deep playoff run...there set to do round 2 of the transformation this summer

Doesn't a single usually get released about 2 months before an album drops? Meaning that we should theoretically get one in the next couple weeks which doesn't seem likely seeing that Lillywhite still has some more work to do on the album in April.

I know, I know anything can happen. I guess a single could drop mid April leaving a month between that and the album release. I hope that this guy is right and we get an album in May but the time table just doesn't ass up to me.

You could say the same about DMB or nearly any other band. If you don't like them, you don't like them.

Pretty sure that is the main argument against DMB (or lots of bands for that matter).

But if you mean to tell me you think The Cave sounds like After the Storm or Awake My Soul...well...I don't know what to tell you. But M&S are real and they are fantastic.

Anyone that says Mumford and Sons songs all sound the same have not honestly given the album a listen. In fact I dont think they have even given the radio songs a listen, or else they wouldnt have that opinion.

Had an excellent opportunity for a Seinfeld quote here and you dropped the ball. Should have said they're real and they're spectacular. Fail.

I think they all do the same thing. Quiet start, build to a big explosion of sound and then simmer down. I understand a lot of songs use that formula, but all Mumford's songs seem to do it in the same way.

I listened to it five or six times before arriving at this conclusion. And seen them live twice. And it only reaffirmed my opinion that they have one song. (OK. Two. After the Storm doesn't sound like the rest.)

I'm not saying that they're bad or unlistenable. I just don't think they're anything special.

lmfao dude, you're not seriously trying to sell us the idea that Steve Lillywhite contacted you in any way to give you information about the album? i've heard a lot of bullshit stories but that would top them all.

I have received some information, but most likely pranks or people who have nothing better to do than make up stories. Yes, I've heard from Lillywhite, but was it really Lillywhite....I don't think so. Sorry I couldn't help out.

Because people have private messaged me over and over that they'd swear they wouldn't say anything if I just told them what I've heard. It's all garbage. I'm just as much in the dark as anyone else. That's the point of my post buddy.

Oh, where do I start. Dave left the band over creative differences for awhile, but came back to record the album with monkey man being the cornerstone of the album. 2. The album consists of mainly all previous material reworked including a long version of loving wings which they used parts augmented from leroi's sax. 3. Mostly all new material except crazy easy and shotgun making appearances, boyd singing on two of the tracks and Stephan using an upright bass. 3. All new songs written by Dave and Stephan but album not coming out until next year because they want to road test the material and have time to create the "right lyrics" 4. There is no new album only studio work done with no deadline or expectation of a release anytime soon, but Blue water and #40 were revisited in the session. 5. Album has been completed for awhile now with only a few lyrics to lay down which dave has spent too much time going over causing a delay in any kind of update (music is pretty much completed but lyrics need re-working) 6. and the list can go on. I've heard alot of stuff, not too much different from we've all heard on here before. We won't really know until there is some official release.....
