News On Jurassic Park 4!

A Jurassic Park IV Production Update
Source: Ain't-It-Cool-News, KK Wavefront
Friday, September 19, 2003

While Universal is staying quiet about Jurassic Park IV, other than announcing William Monahan is writing, Ain't-It-Cool-News has some possible new updates about the anticipated fourth dino pic...

Writer William Monahan has been writing the script from an original story by Stephen Spielberg. We know that it will not take place in the jungle or any "green" environment. We know that Sam Neill and Jeff Goldblum are on board. We know that Stan Winston's crew are in heavy design mode for the film. We know that there should be a ton of new breeds of dinos, and that Steven has apparently been mining Crichton's original novel for more unused material ( the river sequence? ) Lastly... we know it is set for SUMMER 2005.

A scooper for the site heard today on BBC 5 that Sir Richard Attenborough also looks to be returning as John Hammond. Meanwhile, fansite KK Wavefront has debunked the rumor that Keira Knightley is signed to star.

Just in from Keira's agency, courtesy of Ears-To-The-Ground-Paul (TM) is that despite the current rumours, Keira is in no way involved with Jurassic Park IV or the next James Bond film. And on the contrary to popular belief, Keira has not become a figurehead for the British Dyslexia Association.

Was it the third one where they walk out of the forest and their are government agents waiting for them? Worst ending ever.

I've never seen any of them but the first. My brother used to watch it everyday and laugh hysterically when the guy got eaten on the toilet.

    He's a little twisted.

i'm sorry, i fucking LOVE jurassic park. all of them.

the scripts and plots suck, but the dinosaurs make up for it.

i didn't like the first one very much... those little kids got on my damn nerves. also, it took wayyyyyy too long for someone to get eaten.

What they need to do is go back to the first one and make a bunch of alternate endings. The same thing happens every time I see it. All the people should die in one of them.

*sigh* The series that just won't die. You know it's time for it to end when the 3rd movie was more entertaining than the second. Unfortunately Hollywood doesn't work that way.

I can't believe they're making a fourth one. The third was terrible. This is gonna get like Rocky or Jaws. And Speilberg is still directing these? I'm a little surprised, he usually doesn't stay stuck on something this long.

The first one is okay. it was actually great, oneof the best movies (I think) ever. Even the second one was good. up until the T-Rex went loose in the city... the whole series lost my interest from that point on...

the idea is just to not take it all too seriously. forget the acting. forget the plot, forget the ending.

just look at the cool dinosaurs.

i'll definitely be seeing #4 when it comes out.

I'm definitely a fan of the series. But then again I enjoy just about any movie, they don't have to be perfect to me.

Definitely glad that both Sam and Jeff are going to be in it

    I'll be seeing the fourth.

When I see a really great movie (Jurrasic Park), I have to watch the sequels. No matter how dumb they are. That's just me though.

I really liked the first, didn't like the second, enjoyed the third (even though the ending blew goats.) The fourth will be interesting.

If Speilberg is working on the story I'd be inerested. He has said that this is the best script he has seen out of all the films so. I'd check it out if the trailer was any good. I saw the trailer for JP3 and never saw it. I liked the 2nd one, but like everyone else its the first that holds all. So hopefully they can make a good 4rth film, I doubt it though. Nevertheless it would be interesting.

The first was decent, it at least did the book a bit of justice.

The Lost World was a great book - but the movie basically only used the title. Movie was absolutely terrible. That entire ending sequence in San Diego? Wtf? One of the dumbest things I have ever seen.

JP3 was just a waste of an hour and a half of my life. Tea Leoni was hot and all, and it gave me a boner, but, the movie itself was terrible.

So far, all 3 movies have used scenes from the original book. Pathetic. And Hammond is supposed to be dead anyway!

Also, ever notice how Crichton's books just get absolutely SLAUGHTERED when transcribed to screen?

Sphere: AMAZINGLY unbelievable book. Movie: Terrible. Just terrible.

Congo: Such a SWEEEEETTT suspensfully entertaining book. Movie: an absolute joke. So far from the awesomeness it was absurd.
