That's going to be quite a letdown if it's just the album pressed to vinyl.

I'm sure there will be bonus material. I'd assume the Warehouse announcement will have the rest of the information.

    Will purchase.

Would buy CD rerelease as well.

Probably would buy a live trax too.

Look forward to seeing what the Warehouse has to offer.

I know last time after ElusiveDisc put their info up, the Warehouse followed shortly after.

We found out about R2T on April 24th, and LT30 was announced on May 7th about 13 days later.

So I am hoping the WH announces a 1994 Live Trax release for LT32 to go with this shortly.

That's what I'm hoping. Really hoping this CD gets some special treatment as well. Lots of material in the vault from that era.

Even moreso if it's just the CD pressed to vinyl. If it's not, you'd definitely want to put that info in the product information. If it is, you don't mention source material at all.

At this point that listing screams "buyer beware" to me.

Hoping for word on remastering and other such info. I'm guessing they'll do this to the same standard as R2T, otherwise what's the point?

CD pressed to vinyl would still make me happy.

The physical act of listening to a record is pretty enjoyable to me.

There's no reason to pre order from that site yet.

I'd wait to see what other retailers are going to offer in terms of additional content through Warehouse, or cheaper prices through amazon.

I'll probably preorder from SSD once they put it up, they ship their vinyl very well so they usually get my money.

It also depends on what kind of bundle the WH offers, if a new LT comes out around that time I may go there just to spend the money all in one place.

Don't get this post. Don't you enjoy the physical act of listening to a record because it sounds better than a CD???

I don't want a 50 dollar copy of the CD release of UTTAD I already have that. With that being said I'm buying either way just for the album art. If it sounds no better than the CD it probably never gets spun by me.

Yeah... this is my worry. Dream Theater keeps 'releasing' their old catalog on vinyl... but it's just the CD pressed to wax. I will not buy.

Honestly, it all sounds the same to me.

That said, there's something physically cathartic about putting a record on after work and hanging out in the living room vs a CD. It's a completely psychological feeling, coming out of our speaker set up, there's not a huge difference aside from a few crackles and pops. There's just something nice about sitting down w/ the wife and playing a record.

That's fair enough, you're certainly not alone on that boat...if anything I think that's the experience of the majority of people. It may be that these album releases are going to cater to the majority and not the minority...we'll know by 11/24 I guess!

Perhaps further down the road this will open up the opportunity for a specialty label like MOFI to do some DMB vinyl.

I pre-ordered R2T from Amazon. By far the cheapest price out there and free shipping with delivery on the day it's released. I'm sure Amazon will have this as well. Go with them

    Spoke with Elusive Disc.

Asked about source material, sleeve numbering, vinyl weight, bonus material, download card, etc.

They said they weren't supplied any of that info and are awaiting it as well. If I don't hear from anyone else before hand, they said they'd email me once they get the rest of the details.
