I feel like I need to watch that episode again, but I really enjoyed it. Tonight showed how much Peggy's comments about needing to act like a man are messing with her personal and professional life. The Roger/Jane storyline that I didn't care about at all, but it was entertaining as hell. Don and Megan was interesting because you can see how his natural reaction is to be the same husband he was to Betty, but he doesn't want to be that man.

Pretty much sums up what I took away, especially the part about Don and Megan.

I'm gonna call this the Run Lola Run episode.

Roger was the perfect character to give LSD. Loved that the bottle made music when he opened it. Him seeing the 1919 World Series reinforced the age gap between him and Jane.

That was weird to have Megan in the car suddenly. It wasn't until I saw Sally's Mickey Mouse ears that I realized it was probably a memory from their trip to California.

Cooper confronting Don at the end makes me wonder where we're going now.

No Betty, Joan, Lane or Pete?

I can't help but think that Megan is going to die at some point. I've felt that way since the scene in " A Little Kiss " where she stares aimlessy on the balcony of Don's apartment after the arguement on the night of his surprise birthday party. There's no way their marriage is going to last and I don't think Weiner and the writers will dissolve it with another divorce for Don. Don's fear that he had lost Megan to death only reinforces my thoughts.

Probably not a bad theory. Don being happily married for the rest of the series just seems boring. Another divorce wouldn't have much emotional impact because Betty's always going to be Don's baby mama, so the ties to her are stronger.

Killing off Megan could make for some new interesting dimensions for Don.

This is an interesting thought for sure. What would lead to her death? Though I don't think this marriage is going to be "happy." Megan strikes me as very spoiled and has a bit of the crazy in her. She doesn't respond well to conflict. Even Don said, "it's just a fight. It's over." And Megan responded "This diminishes with each fight" or something like that. Don is going to struggle with that as well as against himself. Plus he seems to have finally touched the limit of how little he can be at the office by pissing off Bert Cooper.

Roger's acid trip was inspired! So much going on, I love it!

Adored this episode. Love how they spent equal and focused amounts of time on the three story lines of the episode, and didn't go from Peggy to Roger to Don and back again. Focusing on each story for a third of the episode is a great technique.

I was dying during Roger's trip And now it paves the way for Roger & Red again!! At least I hope so.

Megan and Don's relationship seemed odd thus far into the season, and it just keeps getting more and more fucked up.

Bold 1: A happy Don = a boring Don. We are seeing Megan's true colors show, which weren't readily apparent before they got married.

Although, him driving away from her was pretty cold, especially given she was someplace she'd never been. I'd like to think I would've waited at least a little bit to see if cooler heads prevailed and Don returned back shortly (as he did) then her apparently running off immediately looking for another ride.

Peggy channeling Don when talking back to the Heinz guy was pretty sweet.

She's not crazy, she just expects her husband to listen to her and respect her, both as a coworker and as his wife. Don has no regard for her career aspirations, and then he was the one who stormed out on her and ran off like a child. She is the complete opposite of Betty. If Don had done that to Betty, she would've sat in that hotel restaurant helpless. Megan got to the bus station and rode home by herself for six hours. I have done a 180 in my opinion of Megan... I love how much she challenges Don and doesn't put up with his bullshit.

Now, do I expect them to stay married? No way. Not sure how it will be resolved, but I think Megan has a max point of putting up with him. He needs her more than she needs him, and I think he has started to realize that.
