Re: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

Yep. Standing or crouch, you're dead. But prone, you're underneath the blast radius. If you can get prone at the second you hear that buzzing/whirring sound, you'll survive. But it's damn tough to do. But remember, Stalker Pro delays the trigger on betties/claymores, and it's a really ******** long delay. I was playing Seatown last night, and I saw a dude crawling up a ladder, so I threw a betty at the top of the ladder. But he had Stalker Pro, so he stood right on top of it for like 2 seconds, and wandered off. It exploded a full second later. Super long delay.

After some good play time, I've decided I'm going to sell MW3, and just stick it with BlackOps...I enjoy it so much more.

I might go back to trying bettys once I unlock them again. Do they stay where you put them after you die?

my guess would be no, just like claymores from black ops, they would disappear once you die.

If I'm not mistaken they'll remain until you actually respawn. So if you die and don't immediately jump back in you'll have it there for a rough 5 extra seconds or so.

I believe they will remain in S&D though, but I haven't played MW3 S&D, but they did in Black Ops.

That doesn't go against what you said, though. You don't respawn in S&D until the next round. Equipment stays until you respawn. So for no spawn delay game types, they stay until after the killcam. For respawn delay game types, they stay until you respawn.

Well, I figured I'd clarify a bit since I'm sure if someone plays S&D and they kill a guy and die to his equipment half a minute later they'll wonder what the hell is up. I might've just worded it wrong altogether though.

Yeah that stalker pro is redic. I run it now for the sole reason I can outrun everything. I couldnt figure out what the damn buzzing noise was until a couple nights ago, now i know.

gave the mp7 a shot with all the praise here. i can't get crazy high stats (read: high k/d). what i can do however is grab 8 captures and go like 1.25 K/D with a score of 3,000.

Just tried playing without Assassin pro. First kill cam saw myself on a heart beat sensor. That was the end of that.

Re: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

I got a new router yesterday (replacing the standard one that my service supplied me) and it seemed to help some. I still had a little bit of lag, but I wasn't losing every head to head like I was before. I also did a speed test with both routers and noticed that I am not getting the speed I am paying for. It may have just been an isolated incident, but if it persists I'll have to give them a call. I still wish I could hardwire my PS3, but I feel like it is back to what I had with MW2.

I also unlocked it last night and really like it. With the combination of the ACR and my slightly better connection I was having some great matches. I don't think I had one game under a 1.0 k/d, and had a couple games where I was like 20-7, and was able to get some predator missiles and a couple of precision air strikes.

Re: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

So I finally played this last night online (PS3) and a few things:

    1) There is a lot of crap going on
    2) Graphics are sick
    3) Kill Confirmed I like a lot
    4) Can't figure out what gun to use at this point (kinda like the Scar-L)
    5) Having issues with my k/d ratio (Overall, I would rather win the game, but I do care about my k/d ratio)

After playing 7-8 games, my ratio is .7, which for me is pretty low. BO I had a 1.55 and MW3 I was around a 1.25. And I'm not a camper as I usually run/gun and I do go after domination points. I think I just need to get use to the maps. But I'm wondering if others are having issues dying more than killing and if there is any advice at this time (if any).

Your numbers should improve once you at least have Assassin. It's not critical to do good, but with the frequency of air support it's hard to stay off the radar (impossible actually). I had a 3.22 in Black Ops, and could barely keep a 1 after the first few nights, but since getting used to it and getting all the perks and weapons and all that it's at 2 now.

Ok.. that helps and I figured that once I get that, that would help. Plus, I just need to get use to the maps.

If you run Assault, what are your killstreaks? I'm not sure what works best at this time. For BO, I ran SAM Turrent, Napalm Strike and Chopper Gunner and for MW2 ran Predator Missle, Harrier and Chopper Gunner. As you can tell by these killstreaks, I don't use the "support" ones as much.

The right perks help. My kdr was like .20 at one point that's what I get for hopping right into online play for the first time with this game. It's been going up consistently though. I dont really care about it though.
