    Agree 100%

    I was fortunate to be at Camden N2 '13 and MSG N2 '10 ..unfortunate that I was at AC N1 '11 and not N3 '11 .

I was at all three, but don't know how Alpine 12 N1 and N2, and C'ville 10 N2 don't show up more. I'm not into comparing complete sets side-by-side, but would welcome some detailed comparisons of these three against some of the shows mentioned so frequently.

Hell, C'ville N2 was over 3 hours of song time. Take out 3 or 4 of the songs you don't like (no replacements) and just look at what you'd have left. Still be a great show. Plus the atmosphere was great and the encore was top-notch. Never have understood the backlash against this show.

No backlash from me, it's not like I think it was BAD. Just that it's not top 5 imo. It's a good show. It's very good. It isn't great, that's all.

I've never seen any evidence either night of Alpine '12 was a top 5 show though. Top 5 of the tour probably. But not top 5 of last 6 years.

cville 2010 replaces MSG 05 as the most overrated DMB weekend ever.

someone needs to do a breakdown of C'ville 10 N2 and this super-special MSG show (setlist-wise, I'll call the atmosphere a draw).

Cville n2 there was honestly nothing incredible except the encore. The crowd was amazing and getting LBV was a terrific treat but other than that encore, that show was ehh

amazing crowd, incredible encore. OK. You can't tell me there was a huge difference in the main sets. No problem with stated preferences for the MSG show, but to state or imply they are not both real good shows is crazy.

ha. You're doing your best to put MSG 2010 N2 in the most overrated category. I'd like to hear more about how Everyday was one of the highlights for you that night, when normally it is a -1.

    YMDT was fucking awesome.
    PM > Sat was standard
Say goodbye was a nice treat
    I always love FTWII
    R&R with Lawlor
    Eh hee turd
    Crush was awesome
Trombone shorty on cornbread was awesome...talented dude
    ditch forgettable
    LITHOG was standard and sucky
Jane was fucking awesome as always
Write a song was a nice treat
    WIA is always a rocker
    Nancies standard and forgettable
    LBV nice but not roi
what you are was a fucking rocker version
    two step standard
encore was unbelievable...only true encore I've ever seen this band do...should really be billed as a double encore but neither here nor there

doesn't need to be incredible to be extremely solid. since 2009, there's not even 3 shows I can pick out that are "incredible." it's all about tastes, and that weekend above was awesome. would not rate it in the top 5 of shows, but it's impossible to rate even one night of a two night stand against a one night stop because of the different atmospheres.

Agreed. The shows are actually pretty similar. Arguments can be made for either setlist, but for me the quality of Dave's voice at Cville N2 vs MSG N2 gives it the edge. Both great shows for post-2008. If I had been at MSG instead of Cville I might feel diferently, but the tapes don't lie. Atmosphere at both shows was similar per multilple people who were at both.

if the double encore with Ants didnt happen at CVILLE then we wouldn't be comparing that show to MSG n2... it absurd to compare those 2 shows..

MSG set list beats Cville by a lot... i was at both im not discounting Cville, however its not even close

Not sure it matters. Ants isn't good with this lineup. In fact, it's bad.

    Yup, this.

Honorable mention includes Starlake N2 '12, Philly Winter '12, and Gorge N3 '13.

Speaking for the West Coast contingent, I think Irvine 2013 is the best in that stretch. There aren't a lot of amazeballs West Coast shows in that stretch.

And I'll always say the first 90 minutes of Shoreline 2010 were amazing. Shame it takes one of the all-time great nose dives after that. It takes a Gorge N3 2014 nose dive with Write a Song.

I was at Lakeside 3 and strongly disagree with it being a top 5 show. The opening run was unreal but there slwere several musical flubs and the last third of the set was kind of a let down.

The top five and this is incredibly easy:
    Star Lake N2 2009
    MSG N2 2010
    Atlantic City N3 2011
    Alpine N2 2013
    Camden N2 2013

And I'll always say the first 90 minutes of Shoreline 2010 were amazing. Shame it takes one of the all-time great nose dives after that. It takes a Gorge N3 2014 nose dive with Write a Song.
Totally agree with you on Shoreline. I remember watching that set transpire at home and was foaming at the mouth with the Last Stop, Seek Up, Dont Drink opener. Definitely thought something special was happening at Shoreline until the second half happened.

Sorry but if your list doesn't have spac 09 n2 or 13 n2, it's invalid.
