Re: *** Official Nashville D&T 2017 ***

As for size of venue, I'm use to having to go to Deer Creek every summer (closet to here that usually works in my schedule) and it is so big but usually nearly full. I guess I'm surprised to hear a lot of other venues have problems selling tickets.

A full band show here would be great, I just didn't think they would do it.

They don't have problems with bigger venues, if I'm not mistaken. It's the shows like Little Rock that I mentioned or middle of the week shows in smaller cities that really struggled. I don't think they'd have any trouble with selling out Bridgestone

Not saying I believe requesting singles will be a sure shot at getting confirmed. But it certainly can not hurt my odds. And saves me the trouble of unloading a single if need be

any thoughts on whether the Saturday/Sunday shows will play a role in which night the WH uses seniority and which night it uses random for seating assignments?

No idea on which show WH may use seniority as a factor but I could almost guarantee that the Saturday show will be a harder ticket to get, since most people won't be able to go to Sunday's show unless they take Monday off work.

yeah, that's why i'm asking. except for a few years, Night 2 has been the seniority night for seats, but it is also normally the harder ticket to get because it is on a Saturday vs. Friday. im just trying to decide which night to use my priority for because i would rather it be on the seniority night even if that means not getting a ticket for the random night.

The WH seniority/preference night option will be back up tomorrow. They removed it because of heavy traffic today. Just return to your request and add it tomorrow.

Requests in for both nights, went ahead and opted in for lawn just to hopefully get in the door. Hope to have pavilion one night though at least.

I wouldn't mind doing lawn for one of these shows. It's a very small venue with a nice lawn.

Locals - anything to see in town?

I've been to Antique Archaeology before. I'm gonna visit the Cash museum when I go.

Anything historical or must see in town?

Been wondering the same. I know there's a lot to see... need some guidance.

We have the original Antique Archaeology 5 minutes from where I live, so obviously been there. Cash museum looks awesome, would love to check that out.

The lawn is not terrible at this venue. Granted, it's a Dave crowd but I really enjoyed the lawn when I went. Great view, great sound, etc.

There are lots of historical walking tours, or you can tour the Ryman or the Grand Ole Opry. Centennial Park is nice (it has the world's only full-scale replica of The Parthenon).

Beer: I like Blackstone quite a bit. They have a crazy good brown ale. There's a small brewery called Jackalope that most local restaurants have picked up. I highly recommend the Bearwalker (another brown ale). I know Yazoo does tours and such, but I never went there.

Food: HOT MF'in CHICKEN. Hattie B's is fantastic but it's a bit more touristy. Bolton's Hot Chicken & Fish will knock you on your ass. I personally never made it to Prince's, but that's on my shortlist for my next Nashville visit. There are decent barbecue joints, too.

Not that I know of Chad. FWIW the Jack Daniels distillery isn't far from there in Lynchburg. Fun trip even if you don't like Jack. I'll bring u a case of Schafly from St Louis lol

The wife is sitting these out. My son is still too young, and my daughter is about to turn 9, but I still haven't felt up to taking her to a show yet. I dunno, I just want her to be a little older I guess.

24 year Nashvillian here. Things to see and do:

    Sights and such:
Jack Daniels Distillery Tour- Really cool and not far from Nashville (Lynchburg)
Country Music Hall of Fame (If you are in to that...)
Broadway at night is really cool. The Stage, Tootsies, Honky Tonk Central, etc.
Parthenon is worth a visit (Athena statue is really cool)
Taking a tour of the Ryman is worth it
Check out the bridge for some good sights of downtown and such

    Food:
    Loveless Cafe has tremendous breakfast
Mas Tacos is a good little taco place (not too expensive)
The Pharmacy has great burgers, beer, and milkshakes
Bluebird Cafe is where a lot of famous people have played
Martin's BBQ is worth eating at
    Princes/Hattie B's for Hot Chicken
Mike's Ice Cream (if you are on Broadway)

    Hope this helps!!
