Re: Can Martin Campbell please direct Deadpool, too?

okay I haven't seen it yet, but I've been meaning to ask this question for days... the one joke they put in the trailer, with him saying "I wear red so bad guys won't see me bleed. That guy with the brown pants, he's got the right idea"

That's basically the same joke that's been told in Game Of Thrones, right (at least once I can definitely think of, but think it's been done more) but it's about the clothes a pirate is wearing?

I thought they needed to wear brown pants for when they crap their pants.

^^ hmm, yea, maybe. Although honestly I would've thought a more accurate description of that would've been "obligatory cameo".

By the way, how dumb are some parents? Had some bringing kids under 5 into the showing i saw. Heard the kid mid-way through 'i dont like this anymore.' Probably after deadpool chopped someones head off.
it's ridiculous. seen so many parents taking their kids to see it, and then leaving withing 15 mins of the starting time. maybe do some research before you bring your 7 year old to an R rated movie.

also, we have a Deadpool standee in our lobby. It's basically of Deadpool wearing a Santa hat and sitting on a chair (much like mall Santa Clauses), but his lap comes outward so you can sit on it. Tag line above him says SIT ON THIS. here's an image of it:

Seen so many parents taking pics of their children sitting on it i'm not sure if any of them get it. i face palm every time.

totally thwarted two kids from sneaking into it tonight. that's always fun.

Do you work at a theater?

More parents need to see this poster - it should give them a general idea as to what's in store

another thing about this flick, like I'd been aware of this Monica B(whateverherlastname) for several years now, sure. I remember she was a key player in the big V remake. But I just never particularly thought much of her. But holy cow, don't know how they do it exactly but she is crazy sexy as hell to me in this movie.

I mean, she's a gorgeous girl. They don't necessarily have to "do" anything except throw some makeup on her and trot her sexy ass out there. She does have a very exotic look to her, I think she's Brazilian if I remember correctly.

    This is interesting:

    http://www.christianpost.com/news/de...elease-161151/

"It has been confirmed already though through the post-credits sequence of the first film that long-time partner of and sometime antagonist Cable or Nathan Summers will be joining "Deadpool 2." There is no actor for the character yet but Stephen Lang is a potential."

That would be great casting, I think Lang could fill the role very well.

Nothing wrong with that. Reynolds fucking sold that character a couple years before the movie even dropped. He made that character his baby.

I'm downright shocked to hear that. just that, with seemingly all that that creative team has gone thru, over the amount of time, to finally have gotten the movie made... I mean, Miller's been involved with the project almost (if not as) long as Reynolds was, right? That after they finally prove that they did have something great all along, and now they can't agree on the sequel to where he walks? wow, did NOT see that coming.

I swear if they get Wolverine in this movie for a scene I think it would be bigger than Spidey in Civil War.

Jackman needs to make a cameo in a Deadpool movie whether as Wolverine or himself. Either would be fine to me.

well, yes and no. as I said in my post in the general movie thread, when this clip started before my Logan screening, everyone in our audience pretty much thought the actual movie was beginning, so the hoodie coming down was a huge and LOUD surprise.

But this clip is different than what was shown in my theater. For one, the music Wade's listening to is "Angel of the Morning" (thing that was over the opening credits in Deadpool) and not St Elmos Fire as it is here. Also we got no Stan Lee cameo, it just cuts to the slow-mo of DP running heroicly out of the booth. I also don't recall Wade trying to actually make a call on the payphone in the booth mid-change, but I'm a little less sure on that.
But the Zimmer score from True Romance did play over the end, which I fucking loved, and we did get that Old Man & The Sea text fly up the screen.

I'm kinda shocked, I really didn't think they'd put this online this quickly. Now surely a lot fewer people will get that fun surprise like my theater got.
