Also most of the people posting in the group are attending and no bitching about price allowed
Thank you!

I think the hard rock is a nicer resort,

But staying at the host resort is a no brainier.... Plus that's where the majority of the other fans are staying....

I don't want to have to shuttle to the show when I can just walk down to the beach from my room

Hard Rock is really nice. They gave us an all day inclusive pass trying to tempt us to buy there. Rooms were nice and food was really good. Not familiar with Barcelo, but the shuttle ride would only be about 10-15 minutes judging by location.

If I wasn't going in December I would for sure be there. Super jealous.

Yes - a different resort - The Fairmont.. it's not on site and only has packages for 2 people. But it looks like a nice place.

Hopefully they are doing a prize o raffle for this, because that and the powerball are my only chances of swinging that kind of payment plan right before Christmas. Really wish they were doing this in May instead of February.

So, the wife and I booked the Barcelo Palace (host resort) back in April of this year (months before the D&T announcement). We are going to be from the 20th to the 27th of February with seven other families (we're bringing our 11 and 7 year old daughters along). I know, what are the odds?

I sent an email to CID Entertainment asking if there was a way to just buy the show tickets since we'll already be at the resort for the week, I sent along our Expedia confirmation showing that we booked the resort in April, and they told me the only way to get tickets was to buy one of their resort packages.

So, any ideas on how to get tickets? Although the thought of three straight shows would be great, the reality is that we'll probably only look for tickets to one of the show nights.

Or I guess we could just listen close to the roped off venue....

You can't get just show tickets, unless they decide to change it later but I doubt it. The show is part of the package. I'm sure you'll be able to hear it from somewhere in the resort.

    Hi all,

There is a high chance my girlfriend will no longer be able to join me on this trip, but it's already paid for, and is non-refundable so I'm going anyway. I have two double beds at the BARCELÓ Resort (Superior Room). The cost is $2,156.50 per person, and it's sold out. The friends I've asked cannot attend or cannot afford to go. Please let me know if you are interested.

Unfortunately I need to populate the name and flight info by next Friday.

BTW, I am 40, fun, friendly, and am not a killer. . You can find me at Facebook at facebook.com/griffd2004. I'm also going to Jam Cruise in January (incase anyone else is too?).

    Thanks!

Chichen Itza is really awesome, but I highly recommend anyone still go to one of the cenotes if they don't do Chichen Itza:

    https://www.thrillist.com/travel/nat...d-chichen-itza

We went to the Ik Kil one in the morning on the way to Chichen Itza, and there was nobody there. That picture looks crowded, so maybe it gets crazy in the afternoon. Jump in it!!

I have purchased 2 tickets for D&T in Mexico and lets just say the person I WAS going to take is not going! So...I have a ticket available for face and wanted to offer to the true Dave fan first. I'm at the host resort in 2 queen bed room! I trust any fan would be cool. If you need a double room and have a single, I would gladly move. Let me know if anyone has an interest! Don't post much so hope I'm in the right post for my request!

Don't post much so hope I'm in the right post for my request!

    Also try the ticket thread

We also have a Facebook group that's really active, might have luck there

Was thinking about how those of you attending these shows are in for a treat. They know its a package deal...same people will be there every night, so if they repeat songs, it'd kind of be a stab in the back to the fans that traveled and paid X amount to be there. Only songs that I could potentially see being repeated is the new one Dave played at the event in NYC.

    I hope so!

It wasn't cheap but getting out of Chicago in Feb and getting to see Dave and Tim 3 nights... hoping for a special weekend. Phish was last weekend and everyone I know that attended had a trip of a lifetime and said it was worth every penny (the overall experience, not just the sets)
