It will be VERY interesting. They will either snub them for what happened last year, or they will suck them off because of what happened last year.

Agreed. And I agree with the country fanbase being uber-loyal (read easily entertained).

It's usually a bad sign when you sell a gazillion albums for your rookie effort. She will never be as cute and relevant () as she is now.

We have serious delusions as music assholes. We often condemn people for writing nice, pop music. I will say honestly that In The Zone by Brittney Spears is one of the best albums of the decade.

It'd be cool if every band had "artistic integrity" whatever the hell that is supposed to mean. But that stuff doesn't sell for a reason. While it's really cool when someone releases an album like Suspended Animation by Fantomas, the joy that album brings is meant for a select group of people. We NEED pop music. It makes so many people happy, and with good reason, It's easy to listen to and digest; and it's usually nowhere NEAR as bad as advertised.

I really think what happened last year is blown out of proportion. If they get a nod it will be based on their music. I think they are very likely to get nods for Rock Song (FTWII) and Rock Album. This year has been subpar for music so who knows when it comes to song and album of the year.

Agreed that pop music gets a bad rap. Disagree about everything relating to Taylor Swift though.
