No it wasn't. It's not even a movie. It's a piece of tape where people act really well to hide a shoddy screenplay and mediocre direction. Also, an excuse to look at Rachel McAdams.

Mad Max: Fury Road was the best nominated movie that year, or of any other year.

I was pleasantly surprised by Life. Solid sci-fi horror. Definitely was a retread of certain tropes but it had enough surprises to keep me happy.

Just watched the new Chappelle ep 1 and it was hilarious! To me, it's better than any of his older stuff. I haven't watched ep 2 yet but from what I understand it's not quite as good.

Yes. It got mixed reviews on here. I liked it. Know it's long and a bit slow. But performances and cinematography were great. Worth a watch.

I'm going to piss off bo but holy shit this movie was bad. there was some good - visually it was appealing, smith was good, robbie was pretty good when she wasn't accidentally doing an accent. basically every other component of the movie was horrible. one of the worst edited / paced movies I've seen in a while

That movie was a blow to a DC fan like me. I was so pumped for that one, but it is just inexcusably bad. I've watched it 3 times and the first 20 minutes always tricks me, because I enjoy the first 20 or so minutes. Every time I think, "oh wow, I'm enjoying it this time"...then the movie drops off a giant cliff and I'm reminded how bad it is.

Saw Chappelle's first stand-up and really enjoyed it.

I echo Kev's sentiments...as a huge DC this movie was a massive disappointment and only gets worse upon repeat viewings.

I think there were maybe two lines in the entire movie that made me kinda chuckle. both delivered by harley

only scene that I'd call "good" was when deadshot had his badass moment midway through

Agreed. I also liked the part where Enchantress shows them all their "ideal" lives. If they made her powers more psychological in nature rather than the stupid swirling ring of garbage in the sky/ beam into space it would have been a much better way to go about things.

Watched Moonlight tonight. Really liked it until it fizzled in the third act. Almost had that Place Beyond the Pines aspect where each act is worse than the one before it. La La Land was much better in my eyes.
