When I was there for the 2013 show it was the home opener for the 49ers also so the place was packed. Alot of fun. I did end up parking at the venue but if I want to have a few drinks this time and not drive to the venue is there parking near by? f I remember it seemed more of a business area.

It is a mile walk, but you could probably get away parking here:

There's a movie theater nearby to. Years ago a buddy and I use to park there for shows. It's on Shoreline Blvd, right near the on-ramp for northbound 101. We never had a problem with tickets or towing. Also not sure if they have signs posted about no parking for concerts. It's also about a mile walk. Hope the link works.

Oh it's there alright, I lived in Northern Cali for several years. 49ers and the Hawks are in the same division and have had a pretty intense rivalry the last few years. When Seattle hosted the 49ers in the Championship game last year, they refused to sell tickets to an anyone with a California zip code on their credit cards. That pissed people off for sure.

I remember hearing about this. I think some people found a way around it though.

I am reading some conflicting reports that Shoreline has offered a pit (albeit a small one) for some of their concerts. They didn't have one for the last DMB show did they?

I don't think they ever offer pit because a lot of the close tickets are owned by people who own the whole series (i.e. they have the same seats for any show at that venue). I hope that makes sense.

I just found out today that my cousin is planning to get married in Chicago on 9/12. Looks like this will be the first show I miss in the bay area since '07...sad that I can't continue the tradition of seeing the band in my backyard each year.

Was able to pull two single crappy uppers and infinite lawns after many attempts. Guess we will see how the public sale goes.
