Hello Again was one of the most underwhelming songs I have ever heard live. It may have been that I was pumped up so much to hear it and then it was a dud version, but I walked away from seeing it putting it in a category of would not care if I ever seen it live again.

2004 Hello Again was a beast. Even just 1 year later it sounded lifeless and sped up. The 2010 versions were flat out bad. The song lost its soul after 2004 (just like all of the '04 songs). Kinda strange...

Alot of people like a song does not equal it being overrated.


I get that the lyrics can rub people the wrong way, I think its just the way the chorus was written. They arent Dave's best lyrics but they are still damn good ones.

After D&T You Might Die Trying, which was the best performance I have ever seen of the song, I'm cool with it going away

I'm surprised this slot is a runaway. Although I did vote for ynk, if I did it again I'd go with ddtw. I don't know if it ynk would be overated but I do think it's a better song than anything off the albums that came after busted stuff so maybe that's why it is held in the stature that it is.
I think the only song I would compare ynk to in their catalog would be b&bb and I find it peculiar one is held in high regards and the other not so much.

DDTW=Great
YNK=decent

I'd even argue that Gaucho is a more well written song lyrically. At least there's some substance there.

YKN is great live, but studio? DDTW blows YKN out of the water in the studio. But, to each their own.

This is correct. I think people may be voting because YNK is a more rare song in the live environment, not on the objective sound of each song on their respective albums.

agreed. I went with Too Much. Because the studio track is great. Rhyme & DDTW are close but if I HAD to pick out of all of these, have to pick Too Much.

no, it's just a better song, period.

not fair to punish it because it got the Steve Harris snooze treatment. can you imagine what it'd sound like via Steve Lillywhite circa 1998?!?

in other words, yes the production for DDTW is better than the production for YNK. but better production only goes so far.
