Really impressed after 2 months with Vinyl Me, Please. We'll see what next month's release is but I'm tempted to get a longer plan than just the month to month I've been doing
Nice!! I seriously debated back and forth about jumping on board for this release. Love the album.

First spin sounded great. Quiet pressing, clear on the high end and pretty well rounded on the low ends. Only was able to listen to Sides A thru C, will have to finish tomorrow

When I was down in Nashville for D&T this weekend, I discovered a really cool place called 'The Vinyl Tap', which was a combination craft beer bar/record store. Pretty awesome! Nice selection of brews, very cool, friendly staff. One thing that I thought was genius was they have built in cupholders in the vinyl racks to hold your beer while you flip. They had an outstanding collection of new vinyl, though a very small collection of used. That would be my only complaint but, a place well worth a stop if you ever happen to be down that way.

If you want it, you can still get a 1-month subscription for $29 through the following link:

    http://www.vinylmeplease.com/email-thank-you/

If you want to try it out for a 3-month subscription, let me know and I can send you a referral link to get $10 off. For some reason only the link above is allowing 1-month; they were supposedly "sold out" for single month trials

Yeah, it was a very hard decision to make but at the end of the day I really, really, really want a second subwoofer and I want one that's very similar to the one I have - in other words must have no difficulty plummetting down under 20Hz.

I've had my eye on the market for a few years now, so I'm being very patient, but the older model to mine rarely goes for under $600 and the model that matches mine goes for around $1000 (I just put in an offer of $900 for one). To buy a new Paradigm sub that has the same stats as mine now lists for almost $5000 so forget about that!

If I can snag between US$500-US$600 for my LT1 blue then I'll be only out of pocket for second sub by around CDN$200 which my spouse won't have my balls over. Actually having the second sub in the room and her reaction when she hears the heavenly sound of two 15" 1500W servo controlled subs hitting 16.4Hz (lowest pipe organ note) is going to be another hurdle but once it's in there, it's in there.

Honestly I don't think I kept the hype sticker, it just got in the way once it was opened.

Nice copy tho, was very surprised URP pulled this one off so nicely given they're my least favorite pressing house. Also surprised it already has a bid on it, just listed last night and started at US$475.

That'll be awesome to have that (assuming it doesn't land you in divorce court with the Mrs. ). I'm in the market for a blue LT 1, but I'm aiming for a sealed copy or at least one with a hype sticker to complete my set. I'm right around ~$500 as my willingness to pay

You'll definitely make your buck on that copy though. Wouldn't be surprised if you get a few more bids and land at $550ish. Good luck; show us some pics when you get that sub!

Hey sorry I forgot to comment back to update you. So I don't have it here with me, thought I did but I'm in the process of moving and it must be in my old place in Michigan. I won't be back there until early June though so if there's others you are looking to pull the trigger on don't wait for me. But if you're still in the market after I go back I'll shoot you a PM

I'm so happy with it. It's such a beautiful package and it sounds incredible. I heard the vocal tics in Slow Like Honey that they talked about on the podcast.

They said the goal was to make it feel like it had always been there, as if the package was released when the album first came out in 1996. Job well done, I'd say.

Worth the wait, for sure. I'm curious to see what they have for next month. I only got a 1-month subscription, but I'll stick around if I like what they have for June.

I've seen some rumors, but I'm not really familiar with most of the artists they've done in the past. Gorillaz Demon Days and this have been the only I was all that interested in, so I got lucky they were back to back.

I'm on the fence of cancelling for next month or just getting a 3-month membership and using the swap for next month if I don't like it

Looking through their back catalog, I like a lot of their previous choices. I also feel like with Gorillaz and now Fiona, VMP has reached a new level of interest and excitement.

Remember reading somewhere that ok computer was being remastered from analog tapes. Was that the xl pressing, or is there an even newer pressing coming?

It's a 20th anniversary pressing coming this summer. It was remastered from the tapes, but I believe it was cut from digital. Still should be better than some of the recent reissues of that album

I was mainly familiar with Apples singles plus her latest album Idle Wheel. This vinyl was very likely my first time start to finish thru Tidal, and I just want to say First Taste is fucking brilliant

    What a song

Vinyl sleeves saved a large chunk of my record collection. If you don't have them, get them.

My house was recently flooded and did about 25k in damage to my home. All my records on the lower level of their shelving units survived due to the sleeves. They were definitely worth the purchase!

Went to a great little record swap put together by a couple of local shops and collectors. Everything really good quality, and everything cleaned with a VPI machine in you want. Picked up Yes-Tales from Topographic Oceans, an early Stanley Jordan album, a first press of the second self titled Weather Report, and the Karate Kid soundtrack (I have an obsession with You're the Best). Spent $20, fun to chat and browse with other vinyl heads, and everything played like a dream when I got it home, not a bad saturday.

I know that Echo and She's The One are already out, my local store had them last time I was in. (Echo is a criminally underrated album, and Bellman's AAA remaster is stunning, too.)

I've got the 'Vol 2' box set and it's just incredibly well done. Even the ones done from digital sources sound fantastic (She's The One used a 96/24 digital master, and Mojo and Hypnotic Eye were recorded digitally.) Wildflowers is just jaw-droppingly good. I lusted after an original copy for years, but apparently the original was pressed from digital so no doubt the new version blows it away.

Glad to see the individual titles are coming out so I can get Full Moon Fever and Into The Great Wide Open!
