Someone please explain to me what's going on with Buick, Chevy, Bob Benson, McCann, and Roger's reaction in the meeting. I'm so lost.
bob was told that chevy was booting sc&p and bob and taking things in house. however, he was also told to expect a job offer from buick

mccann knew this was happening, but expected bob to use his new position to lobby for sc&p to take the new work. as buick is their client, they offered roger a position as well to help defend their position

I THINK that is what happened

just watched this week's episode. thought it was easily the best of the season and a fantastic episode overall. bob/joan vs pete/trudy was great, and the cheesy family theme (when we as the audience know how much of a family that table literally is) was very well-done

Don keeps fighting because he doesn't know what else to do. I think Ginsburg's last words ring pretty true - "get out while you still can!" SC&P is far from the agency Don founded and tweaked, and it will never be the same. I think he should get out, honestly.

It was awesome to the see the Don-Peggy re-bonding I was waiting for. Fuck that was a great episode.

Brilliant. This may be the last time we get a "Don and Peggy episode". If so, what a way to end their arc.

Note: We'll have plenty of more interactions between the two no doubt, but this is probably the last time in an episode where their relationship is explored in such detail.

what I loved about their earlier scene actually during the work day, he didn't even need to try. Because she was automatically assuming that every single thing he was saying was intended to try and manipulate her. It was so interesting to watch her fight both sides of the battle without even realizing it.

I love how they teased around the don and peggy dynamic and peggy wouldnt speak to don for the first few episodes, then they were forced together and things were awkward at best, and then sunday's ep we got what we all wanted.

next to game of thrones there is no show that touches this one. so glad they are going out on a high note, this season has been fantastic IMO. i loved how the episode ended, so much.

I don't think rogers reaction at the partner's meeting goes any further than he doesnt like Harry and doesnt want that creepy little bastard to be a partner. And he may be considering taking don with him to his new job offering. But honestly Harry deserves it. He's played the game masterfully (corporate ladder climbing) and is fucking good as his job and one of the more forward thinking people in the office.

and if people think Don is going to fuck peggy you need to rewatch the series perhaps. Don is a ho fo sho but there is no way in hell that is going to happen. I could see a drunken make out session cause peggy is so lonely and don is don, but thats it.

They probably covered this at the time but I can't remember but how did they all get around their no compete clauses when they started the new firm. Did Lane fire them?

    Yes.

I just play a lawyer here on Ants, but legally speaking, it would still be tortious interference, which is intentionally screwing with a contract negotiation. But don't let that take away from a good story.

I'm assuming that AMC here is doing the same thing as with BB, that with splitting up the final season, that includes shooting both halves separately? As in those back 8 episodes haven't actually been shot yet, right?

huh, I only just found out that part of the reason they made Betty fat last year (or was it 2) was because January Jones really was pregnant and they didn't want to engage in all the tricks to hide it.

I have seen the finale and it is pretty good. It could've been the series finale save for the final scene.
