3 weeks til N1
Yea Quinn is great. I saw him play with Buddy at Gathering of the Vibes back in 2009. They've been touring together for a while now. Kids amazing. Great vocals and he really play the guitar.

The will be copies of the new CD available at The Gorge.
The VW contest is giving them to the winners, so expect, I'd think, that they'll be pre-released @ vending.

I'd love to get my hands on one. It'll make the weekend even sweeter. Wonder if the band will stream the whole cd for a week similar with bw

So does anyone like to decorate their car in honor of their Gorge trip? My husband and I thought this would be fun. He's gonna try to paint a big firedancer on the back window, and maybe some DMB GORGE 2012 on the windows or something.

I have looked up toupstown, what would some of you suggest we do on our maiden voyage out there. Is there a spot to go in the columbia river, just like drive up and go for a swim? We are staying in a hotel in epharta.
For the most part the memorable for Gorge/DMB specific is always around. Most of the time you can walk around the campgroup and people will be seeing t-shirts with great sayings like "Gorge-ous"- with the outline of Washington State. As far as the swimming goes, just drive into Vantage which is west of the Gorge bout 9 miles. Take the first exit and there is a boat ramp and dock to jump in and swim at. If ya don't feel like waiting in the shower line (eta at least 1 hour wait) bring some shampoo and just wash your hair there, done that several times. Make sure you check out Blustry's Restaurant just up the hill from the just the boat dock, they have great food, kinda greasy, but perfect for a hangover. Glad to have ya apart of the Gorge family.

There actually is a good majority of ppl who do this. The designs I have seen are sweet. Just a heads up though, if ya have anything "illegal" with ya by chance be extra careful because the state pigs are always pulling over people for painting on the car. Gives them a reason to snoop your car. I'm sure the firedance will turn out great.

Just a quick highlight video I made from the 2011 Gorge shows. Features Live HD Footage from Sunday Night. Photos include campground shenanigans, Inside the concert rock-outs, and everything else that comes with the Greatest Weekend of the Year. Thought this may help those first-timers to the Gorge on what to expect, especially in general camping aka "District 9"

We won't be bringing any illegals, just a whole lotta six-packs of local brews I'm a pilot and get randomly drug tested, and a little extra fun isn't worth losing my career! But we'll give some decorations a try, and look forward to seeing what others came up with. And looking forward to passing other Gorge-ers on the freeway and honking and waving!

And I saw your video a few pages back, nice work!

Good decision! Most of the major highways explicitly forbid hitch hiking, but I see people do it around the gas stations, on-ramps, etc. Tons of them around Sasquatch. But there have been people looking to split rides on the boards, I'm sure you could arrange something in advance.

I remember traveling to Dead shows like this but also realizing it made us stick out like a sore thumb to the State Patrol. Just be careful how you drive or you are sure to be a target.

on second thought, I'm not sure I want ANY attention from State Patrol. Especially since I leave Sat to go wine tasting.

I'll be getting to Seattle on tuesday to take in some of the city while I'm out there...That being said, I can get to the campground anytime thursday (in premier). What's a good time to get there? When it opens at noon, or a little later?

Hey ya'll, going for the first time this year, super excited. I jumped the gun earlier and got a wildhorse pass, but my friends are staying in premier. If anyone knows someone whose looking to make a switch, PM me. Thanks, see you guys out there.
