I've had Being There on regular rotation again. Sky Blue Sky reminded me so much how I loved it.

    Codeseven - The Rescue

Some of the BEST alternative/space/indie rock that pretty much no one knows about. I highly highly HIGHLY recommend you pick up this CD. And their last CD Dancing Echoes/Dead Sounds is amazing as well.

Like Mr. Donkey said, try their live one, "Kicking Television". Their new one "Sky Blue Sky" is really good too.

For someone new, I think I would stay away from "A Ghost is Born". I like it, but it's pretty far out there. It could be a turn off for you.

I guess it really depends on what type of music you typically like. AGiB is my favorite Wilco album, but the older stuff (the more alt-country stuff) has definitely grown on me.

This is very true. I have a friend that feels the same way. aGiB is his favorite, much more than Being There, but it's more at the bottom of the list for me.

imo, Yankee Hotel Foxtrot is *the* album. if you can get that, you can dig wilco. they're a folk band disguised as an experimental band. and they're great.

honestly, get all their albums. including the Mermaid Avenue stuff. and get Tweedy's solo show from The Vic from march of 05.

Interesting that you linked the two albums. I don't really like "Sky Blue Sky", and prior to that, "Being There" was my least favorite Wilco album. Aside from those two, I love everything they've done.
