Is it worth it to request Premier Parking for the Mann Center?

Nah, regular parking is more fun anyway

What's the tailgate situation like here? Ample room? Good spots, bad spots?

Someone mentioned the lots opened very early when Phish played here so it should be good.

Tailgating is awesome so long as it doesn't rain and become somewhat of a mud pit. You're on the grass and most of it is in big fields. The upper lot even has a pavilion. You can usually put up a tent although I've been told you have to pay for a "second car" if you will do to so.

Here is a good view of the layout of the land (albeit from the back of the venue) http://www.uwishunu.com/wp-content/u...mall-680uw.jpg

There is an "upper" parking which has it's own separate entrance at the back of the lawn which is more chill. (It's all that dark green grass at the bottom of the image) You can't park on the right hand side of the image and some of the bottom left. There is less parking up there.

The "front" parking covers everything on the upper part of the image above the treelines and the venue.

I've never had VIP Parking at The Mann and don't know how much it costs versus regular parking ($20) but if you want a spot close to the entrance then go ahead. Parking is rather plentiful there so it's not as if you'll be shut out of a spot.

For comparison's sake it's a lot better situation to park than Camden. Sure, you can wait in long lines to get in but at least you will get a spot unlike in Camden where you can try to get to Lot 1 and be turned away and have to figure out where to go from there.

There's really not a bad spot to park at the Mann and getting out generally isn't too bad.

Maybe somebody that has seen Dave and Tim at an outdoor summer venue could give me an idea what to expect
I had seats for D&T at CMAC and everyone was standing, not sitting. I did think, however, that the crowd was slightly more subdued than a DMB show. I would expect something in between the two crowds you mentioned.

All I know is reading comments online from people trying to get tickets for Phish at the Mann. I don't know if D&T will be as crazy as trying for Phish but here is a comment from Phish.net:

"As for the MANN box office...epic fail. I went 2 years ago was number 7 in line and got terrace which are basically lawn. Only the first two people in line got something good. I went there around 5 am and the first person got there at midnight.... "

As with any/most ticket on-sales all methods (phone, online, in person) are pulling from the same pool of tickets. So I don't believe there is any advantage to getting in line.

    Hello everyone!

I am new to this thread and venue. I am curious about a few things....I have not seen D&T yet, it will be my 25th show. This question is more for experts on D&T shows. When the boys stop by for a two-nighter, are the setlists completely different? Are the setlists generally the same, just in different order from night one to night two? I am not sure if I want to see both night one and night two. Luther, Vegas, and Radio City have different setlists. Any answer or guesses are greatly appreciated. Thank you and happy touring everybody!

I looked in to this last week and came up with:

You might see a couple of songs repeated in a two night stand. Last time they played two nights in a row at one place (2015 in OaklandCA and also 2016 Bridge School- 7 songs each night) there were no repeats. When they played 2 nights in NOLA in 2014 there were 6 repeats.

The last time they have a "tour" listed on dmbalmanac , 5 shows, there were two two-nighters. The 2nd show in the first 2-night run had 4 repeats the 2nd show in the second 2-night run had 6 repeats. Although this was in 2010 and now we have the addition of Away From the World songs. However when they played 2 nights in NOLA in 2014 there were 6 repeats.

So you shouldn't see much more than a handful of repeats at the most.

I wish you could only opt out of lawn and not terrace for Warehouse requests... I'm requesting 3 tickets and really don't want to be on the lawn, so Orc C is a pretty small pool to be put into.

My requests are in for both Philly shows! Was thinking about Nashville but realized late in the game I have a friend's wedding on that Saturday 5/6. Hope I can luck out with some decent seats but keeping expectations low. Not having to mess with TicketBastard would be great but will most likely have to.

You should be able to opt out of Terrace or Lawn seats. There is a box you have to check off when requesting them. I did it.

Right, but my point was there was only one box to check so you either opt out of both or none.

Not a huge issue, but not optimal.

I wonder what the pattern is for the ticketing statuses. They would have to get confirmed before the public sale on the 10th, right?

You would be smart to not check the box at all if you're requesting three tickets. These shows will sell out in about a minute - tons of tickets will go to Mann members before Warehouse even factors in. Plus lawn at the Mann is pretty good.

I'm a little concerned about these shows being disasters crowd wise though. There was literally zero security at Phish the last few years. You could go pretty much anywhere you wanted other than the pit. Buddy sent me a video of a dude breaking in through a fence on the lawn. At Phish shows I love free for alls; I want order at D&T.

Based on comments, sounds like it's not wise in this case to opt out for lawn, terrace, right?

I've been all over the Mann for Phish and you're right, it's easily one of the better lawns. I wouldn't have a problem being there if it was a full band show I just feel like the lawn would really suck for D&T. I've been to every Phish show at the Mann since they started playing it again a few years ago and only had to be on the lawn once, so I'm hoping I can at least get terrace in the general sale...

Oh yeah any time I've had lawn tickets for Phish at the Mann I've always been in the aisles of the seated area. I don't assume a D&T crowd would be into that.

I do think I'm going to uncheck the box though - if I get lawn'd through the WH and then get seats in the general sale I'm sure I'd be able to unload my WH lawns.

I think most of you are overestimating the demand for tickets. There will be plenty for these shows. It isn't the full band, the venue holds fourteen THOUSAND people, it's TWO nights, an acoustic show, and it isn't 1999. Tickets on the ground.

You think? They have such a big fan base there and it's a Saturday night. I can't decide, to opt out or not for lawn/terrace.

opt out, you'll be able to snag lawns for face or below as the show approaches.
