Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Was never a fan of the cartoon, so won't be watching the live action unless it gets a BP nom.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

yea I've still never seen the animated Beauty and the Beast either, and I have been rather amused by the arguments being brought up lately about what the story's really like from the Honest Trailers crowd and such. It is a pretty whacked out story when you really break it down.

I wound up pretty much totally on a whim last night went and watched the original THOR again. I mean, I certainly can't call it "great", but lord in retrospect does it even that much more showcase how bad Thor: The Dark World was. like feels like it comes down to which is the worst MCU movie so far, Thor 2 or Iron Man 2 (it doesn't quite feel right truly put Norton's Hulk in that conversation, that that was sort of more put into the MCU as it is retroactively). but I definitely enjoy it, It's a "good" movie at least.
Though I still have never understood how Loki's story was perpetuated. like with him actually being a Frost Giant offspring, was it that Odin used some sort of Asgardian magic to let him appear normally as one of them growing up his whole life?

Don't remember if we've done this sub-question before, but what is y'all's favorite Disney movie?

I gotta go with Sword and the Stone.

I just found out that the original Beauty and the Beast cartoon from 1991 has been released in certain theaters across the country, so if you never have seen it, now's your chance (besides DVD of course).

hmm... fave Disney might be Aladdin.

Lion King for me. Growing up, I watched that, Aladdin, Peter Pan and Jungle Book religiously as a kid. Beauty and the Beast has become a favorite of mine over the last several years.

I loved the live-action Jungle Book that came out a couple years ago as well. I love that they're doing that with all these movies. I'm legit excited for Lion King and Aladdin.

I feel like that's pretty damn underrated in the Disney canon. Haven't looked at for a very long time but I recall quite enjoying that.

btw, Ants is doing something weird for me right now, I wonder if anyone else experiencing it. like when I first open my bookmark of the nDMBc page, any thread with new posts in it since last visit is printed in bold. If I open that thread and read over the most recent posts, when I go back out to the main page properly, the thread title's back to normal font.
But now, and several times, the title keeps appearing in bold even after I went into it.

101 Dalmatians is pretty solid. Great animation for its time, and solid music.

Favorite Disney movie is Robin Hood. I also enjoy Aladdin and Lilo and Stitch.

My oldest daughter is really into Disney princesses right now so I've seen a lot of Little Mermaid, BATB, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella and Snow White recently. And I've probably seen Frozen a thousand times.

I'm 41, still never seen Lion King, Beauty and the Best or Little Mermaid.

someone mentioned earlier, that as part of live action re-doing the whole traditional animation backlog, threw out the name Aladdin. granted not that it'd surprise me, but is that OFFICIALLY on the books as happening already? cause if so that'd be something I missed somehow. jeez who tries to step into that role after what Robin Williams did?
