I picked mine up at a ticketmaster outlet yesterday...I had originally chose to pick them up at will call, but a simple email and that was changed

Unbelievable. I tried now to no avail. Enjoy!

PM or email me (kingkrimson462@hotmail.com) if anyone reading this tries for the heck of it and gets tickets. I'd love to celebrate my 10th show with decent tickets!

So was anyone in pit in '10? How early do people get there/how early should I get there if I want to be on the rail?

And also, when do they open merch stands? How would I go about getting a poster? Should I get someone I know who isn't in the pit to get one for me?

Merch booths inside the venue grounds should be open when the gates open ie around 6 pm. If you are in the Pit I would suggest you get someone you know who is not going to be in the Pit to hang on to your poster otherwise the poster tube will crimp your enjoyment of the show.

Check Expedia right now. We were able to get standard King rooms at the York for $150/night. The Strathcona is also very nice (old hotel with new renovations), and usually reasonable for rates. Both hotels are close to a lot of great restaurants and other attractions, which is good if you plan on doing anything before or after the show.

Pit is General Admission. So you're first row if you're first in line the day of the show. Your buddy twisted the truth. Although I say I have first row too. Since I expect to be there.

Anyone can be first row, you just need to go to the gym...

First trip to Molson Amphitheatre coming up in June. Heading up from Buffalo and have been to Toronto for Yanks and Sabres games.

Is traffic a nightmare for concerts as well? Anyone have any pointers on parking/tailgating?

Looking forward to my first show of the tour!

I'm sure there'll be a Leaf or Raptors playoff game that night so that means extra traffic. hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha........wait 'til next year. No TFC game and I don't think you would notice a traffic difference even if there was an Argos game. If you're coming early enough to tailgate, traffic shouldn't be a problem. As for tailgating itself, I was always under the impression that drinking in public was illegal so I'm not really up to speed on that.

What's the trip from Buffalo to Starlake like? We'll be doing the family road trip for N2.

HAHAHA very funny on the Leafs comment! Trip from Buffalo to Starlake isn't bad. My girlfriend is from Pittsburgh so we make the trip more often than I'd like

Cops are thick in NY, but once you hit PA its wide open all the way down I-79. ~4 hour trip from here...

No tailgating allowed in Toronto. You can try and tailgate in the lots, but really it's not like tailgating in the US and you will have stuff taken away if they find you drinking.

There are good bars within walking distance, hands down the closest one is the Brazen Head pub. It's about 7 minutes walk from the north parking lots, going underneath the train station and hanging a right.

You can use Google maps select "WALK" to get from Exhibition Station to Brazen Head pub.

That is where I believe we will be hanging out before the show if I can get the patio reserved for us. I know the owners here so hopefully we can get some leeway. Shouldn't be too busy on a Saturday with no game, but closer to show time it will get busy.

I had originally set up meeting at the Boathouse on Queens Quay when we first all tailgated before the Toronto show in 2004 because I knew the owners there really well, but the walk is way longer. It's around a 40 minute walk from Boathouse - less than 15 from Brazen.

Traffic on a Saturday won't be too bad.

I was down at the amphitheatre today, there are signs everywhere saying no alcohol, no chairs. no knives, no everything, so basically no tailgating in the lots.

My buddy lives in the beaches and he said we should all come over for a bbq before the show which sounds great. I said, you know we could have 20 or so people coming? He said yeah, let's do the pub, haha.

Yeah they always have this up, but I had to do a service call there once during Buffett and it was a couple hours before the show, there were quite a few umbrellas, chairs, etc., around the place, lots of people seemingly already quite polluted.

I think they mostly try to stop you from alcohol consumption.

The Brazen Head Irish Pub sound like a great place to meet up before on Saturday afternoon before the show.
It is fairly close to the venue with a wonderful selection of beers etc.

I was kidding! I don't even have a pair, just a single! Which I'm keeping.

Seating assignments just came out an hour or 2 ago, so start checking the boards. Many tickets will be unloaded shortly.

Yeah if you're walking, but Toronto is one of the few places in Canada that has public transport that doesn't run sporadically, lol.

You take the 501 streetcar to Yonge, subway down to Union and 509 streetcar to Exhibition. No way it takes you much more than 25 minutes.

(and we were talking about bbq'ing from around lunchtime, several hours before heading to the MolAmp)

Got Sec 202 Row 20 four seats in a row requested. Very nice, sound doesn't get much better than 202.
