    Way better than SisBread.

However, no Corn Bread in two shows. They might play it 9 times over the next 7.

also, big props to whoever suggested taking 40 Mile Rd. I've lived in Sacramento for years, and been to that amphitheater no less than 5 times, and i've never had an quicker time getting there or back. 40 Mile Rd is golden. Good lookin' out.

It was amazing tonight. John Koch's rig was right behind me and should be a great pickup. The ABI Outro to Hands of God was freaking amazing. I love that freaking song. and the only reason its a "partial" is because they cutout the opening 3 minutes of soft guitar playing and soft sax... they stripped it down to the meat... the rocking part. Seriously amazing.

Ok, just got back. We really lucked out getting out of the parking lot due to them opening up another side right as we were leaving.

This show really is on the top of my list! On paper it may not look good as the Berkeley show I went to 2 years ago, but they were kicking ass the entire show. They had some tech problems before the show, which I was afraid was eating into our time, but boy was I wrong. Then 3 songs in they were having "ghosts" in the monitors therefore makes me believe that's why Dave did his solo. At this point I was worried with how the flow of things would end up, but they didn't miss a beat... well Coffin laughed a few times at some messups and Dave cracked up with a little failed start to Crash, but they were having a blast. Out the last 5 consecutive shows THIS WAS THE BEST! As one lady said, who we have met before and have seen at other shows, "EPIC".

Saw some Ants that I have recognized from the boards, but I haven't really made myself present enough to start saying hi out of nowhere and don't want people to think I'm a creeper! LOL. I swear I'm not stalking you. HAHAHA.

The solos of the 3 horns from Rafael Saadiq during Jimi Thing were phenomenal. Carter's solo in Two Step was BREATHTAKING! Busted Stuff was a good surprise and where the hell did American Baby Intro come from??? That really got me pumped! Also Dave did Timb Bomb lyrics at the beginning of Two Step, which I think is awesome! Overall... GREAT! JUST GREAT!

SIDE NOTE: Stupid people next to me got 3 drumsticks and a pic from Dave Matthews. Ok ok, the kid deserved the sticks, but his mom was very nice and had him give one to the girl that let him stand front row with her even after Carter said (showed) they were both for him. Had my hands on another drumstick but 2 other people were fighting for it so I had to let go. Don't want to be that guy, but pretty soon I'm getting ruthless!!

Fonz totally dropped out. He wasn't coming out of the PA at all during Seven. While they worked on that issue, Dave vamped and did Baby Blue.

My first Busted Stuff. Eff. Yes.

Pretty decent show. Yes, the place is in the middle of nowhere. I live 134 miles away and it took me 3 hours 45 minutes to get there (f-ing traffic). Got out of the Parking lot damn quick. Show ended at @11:25. I was in my car and out of the lot by 11:35 (no, I didn't have premier parking). Coming home I got a little turned around but corrected that quickly. Still got home in 2 hours and 20 minutes. Not to bad. Just hoping my pictures turned out good. I have over 200 to sort through and I'll probably bring the camera tomorrow (simple point and shoot, not expecting anything super).

yep couple of rough patches, but overall looks like a very solid set for a one-off. Things appear to be heating up for the big finish to the tour

My expectations were low after the last time they were at this venue, 8.16.05, which I consider the weakest show I've seen, but this was a fine performance.

It was "weird segue" night: BEF > YMDT, BS > Nancies > SMLAM, LITHOG > ABI.

The show was amazing last night. I was in the pit and it had it's ups and downs. But there were a couple a very nice young gentlemen who made sure me and my girlfriend (about 4'9") were able to see all night. Props to them and their mom (who was there also making sure everyone had water)...But overall the show was amazing. There were technical difficulties but they played them off well. And I got to be so close which I am very thankful for. Yay for me

We were in the 203 section w/ a bunch of people who wouldn't get up and dance til the end of the show. We moved to the aisle seats which were empty and danced teh whole show anyway. Nice surprises, like BS and ABI. Still can't beat the experience of being up close, though! Getting ready for Shoreline tonite! Will we get Minarets????

Great to meet you and everyone att Anne's house yesterday! Anne is a great & generous host, I had a blast.

    I'm guessing Minarets opens tonight.

pretty good crowd besides this girl and her bf and her mom, they asked to stand in front of me cause they were short and couldn't see... well i obliged and at first everything was fine, until the mom kept backing into me the whole show and wasn't giving me enough space... then the bf was going in and out of the crowd every 5 minutes to go get beer or pee... it was quite annoying. then later on during the show after ants... carter was tossing out sticks and carter tossed one my way and i ended up getting one, but the girl and her bf were pissed because I apparently STOLE their drumstick... lol. it's a free for all dude. drumstick wars happen at shows, and i wouldn't even consider this a fight... he didn't even fight me for it and just started being rude to me. i caught it the same fucking time he did and the girl said i dislocated her finger.... lol. then the dude shoved me during two step like 3 people over, so i ended up elbowing him a bunch of times cause he wouldn't give me any fucking space. so i ended up moving away from this douchebag and ended up with an even better view of carter's BAD ASS two step solo!!! anyways, they were being rude the whole show... like seriously, next time someone asks me to switch spots because they're too short. i'm just gonna say "HELL NO"... cause i wouldn't of had so many people blocking my view the whole night.

shouldn't the almanac list these two songs like this...

Lying in the Hands of God >
    American Baby Intro >
Lying in the Hands of God Reprise...

or something like that... cause i'm pretty damn sure they went back into lying in the hands of god after the intro.
