Really enjoyed his set at Farm Aid 29 in Raleigh a few years ago. Will have to catch a full set next time he comes around.

Thank you. I've been saying it on these boards for months and people defend them all the time.

    Band assessment:
    • Band name: Terrible
    • Sound: Like a below average garage band. If they were on their own, they probably wouldn't get a coffee shop gig.
    • On stage presence: Cheesy, no confidence
    • Long term outlook: keep dreaming captain.

A bit harsh? Maybe, but kind of reality. As far as Boyd goes, I commend him for the work he is doing. He is working really hard and probably sinking a lot of money into them. Boyd is a good guy.

I've always wanted to like Gary but aside from his first EPs I can't get into him. The level of talent that he has and the way he's built up always leaves me disappointed when I listen. I always get excited for his new album but it never meets my expectations.

I can see where you're coming from on his studio stuff. Listen to the latest live in North America. If you can see him live you gotta do it. I just saw him open for Clapton at MSG. I can't say enough good stuff about Gary live. He takes his eh studio songs and makes them sound completely different live.

Aqueous. Amazing!!!! Very unique style of funk groove and "jam". Impressive young band with a very promising future. Reminded me of early Incubus stuff. I can see them going places!! Opened for Twiddle...and as much as I dig Twiddle with their more traditional jam sound... Aqueous stole the show IMO.

    Good Stuff fellas!!

Arcade Fire, although they are not too "new", but less time in the business than DMB. Amazing band, if anyone doesnt know them. Seen them 2 times live. Pretty great.

This guy used to play in the NYC subways. Amazing talent that never went anywhere. Gonzalo Silva. He played an 80's style base/singer song writer.

Yeah I saw him live about a year ago. He opened for Foo Fighters. I was pretty excited to see him but he was underwhelming even there.

Just bought the new Twiddle cd, chapters 1 & 2. They are pretty sweet. Sounds like Blues Traveler, Bob Marley, Mumford & Sons, a little bit of Muse all wrapped in together. Great cd to pick up!

Been listening to a butt load of Father John Misty lately. Him, Mac DeMarco, and Knuckle Puck are for sure taking up most of my listenings lately.
