he couldn't get inside on him because he couldn't box and a couple of the headbutts, but there were only a couple. Holyfield did it his whole career, but was clearly out boxing Tyson every round he was in the ring with him for

Oh, no doubt. I'm just saying why he bit him. Holyfield was a way better boxer, but he was always a cheap son of a bitch and Mills Lane did nothing to warn him despite being alerted about the headbutts multiple times.

mills lane wanted to stop the fight after the first bite, but the commish told him to defer to the doc's opinion. Still missed the headbuts and Tyson spitting out his mouthpiece before the bite though

Because it is and I bet Vince is pissed he couldn't make money off of it. At the same time, no way WWE pays these assholes the amount of money they'll get for a scripted fight.

Of course, I watch MMA now but I grew up watching boxing when it was still a thing. In MMA there's a saying, Don't let it go to the judges. Yes, I know a decision is a valid win, but nothing says win like standing over the motionless body of your opponent you just knocked the fuck out.

...and a nice bowl of fuck you, too...for dessert.

completely different in MMA. 3 round or 5 round MMA fights are tough to score. especially if there's a couple knockdowns. The judges in the UFC are worse than the awful judges in boxing. they let what happens in the last 30 seconds of a fight completely off-set the first 14min

depends on the undercards. If those suck, I might go out to watch it. If there's 3-4 good fights as well as this one, I'd definitely buy it.

The way I see it is cross promotion for UFC. It's a growing sport, but still young and needs more attention. Sportscenter will go to Vegas for the week for the fight>Dana and Connor will market the shit out of UFC>big PPV numbers>Connor loses but a couple days later him and White will call Floyd and thank him while counting their money in the Brinks semi truck>Floyd will wish him the best of luck in the next UFC card at MSG later this year where Connor will win and get paid even more>profit

From a business perspective, it's genius imo.

McGregor/Mayweather is put on the backburner for multiple reasons. Dana White wants Connor to give up 50% of his purse to the UFC and I don't blame him. Mayweather won't budge on what he'll make in the fight either so it's not going anywhere.

Sounds like Connor is going to fight around July/August. Rumor is UFC 213 against Tyron Woodley. I doubt it though because Dana White already said Dillishaw/Garbradnt is the main event for 213 and I doubt they'd have Connor/Woodley as the second leg of a co-headliner.

For the most part, the numbered events are the PPV ones. Usually once a month or so. UFC 211 was a couple weeks ago. The free events are called "fight night" on Fox and FS1.

It is the 213th pay-per-view event held by UFC.

As Pathetic said, the PPV events are (almost, 99.9%) numbered. Early in its history, UFC gave their PPVs names, like Destruction, Chaos, whatever the fuck, but I'm pretty sure they ran out of cool names and just went with the number system. Also, the main event fight is usually part of the title, so, for example...UFC 593: Lesnar Jr. vs. Jesus Christ

You got your Fight Nights (usually on some FoxSports channel), and UFC on Fox, which is on the Fox Broadcast network.

Which is why I don't think McGregor will fight on on 213 because it's already Dillishaw/Gabradnt and i doubt Connor is going to take a backseat as a co-main event

Now there's talk of UFC getting 25% of Connor's purse vs mayweather in exchange for Connor signing a 10 fight contract extension with UFC.

his jab is too fast and he's going to crush McGregor with his hook. McGregor couldn't even outbox Nate Diaz, how the hell does he think with a 6month training camp he'll be able to beat the goat?
