Lon McEachern and Norman Chad are very good announcers IMO (best poker ones by far)...plus seeing what everyone has and how everyone acts with their hands is fun.

Sure, why not? It's not on ESPN as much as it used to be. And it's mostly on the Travel channel (who has even watched that channel since Brooke Burke left?) and on NBC at 2 in the morning.

4 years ago it was the best possible thing. get some friends together and play a cash game while watching the WSOP...i'm just sick of it now. it's too popular or something like that, making it less cool.

it would be better if it was a female sport, but instead of chips you bet clothing. or just took it off.

as a matter of fact it woudl be better if it was just naked chicks playing poker....

on topic, i watch it. i dont really care or get involved but if nothing else is on ill watch it. I wouldnt watch badmitten or tennis.

It was cool 5 years ago when hold 'em suddenly became huge. Now it's just fucking annoying because it's on 24/7.

Oh yea, there's a core group of about 8 of us that have the 500 set of the dice chips. It was actually the best back in the day...people would have a tournament on a sunday afternoon, football on, hung over as balls. Good way to chill out and maybe make some money

Poker's entertaining. It's got all the drama of regular sporting events, but it's edited, so the drama is not-stop. I like seeing how certain guys play certain hands in a given situation. It's fascinating. I don't watch it as much as I used to, but it's still very entertaining.

For the record, I like poker, but hate the fact it's on literally 24/7 on one channel or another. I'd rather have other stuff be on ESPN than poker.

    But its not really.

When is the next scheduled poker show on ESPN? Not until at least after 12/11, according to my channel guide.

dude, its a card game. its as bad as the national spelling bee. it would be just as bad as a card game that everyone knows how to play like go fish or rummy. there is no reason whatsoever for poker to be televised.
