Any graphics people?

I am the co-webmaster of Knicks4Life.com. We are currently redesigning our site, however we can't make a top banner that we are satisfied with and are seeking help with it. We have a design and we're just looking for a top banner that fits since I suck at graphics. Is there anyone out there who can maybe help out? I have a copy of the layout I can show you if you want to get a better idea of what I'm talking about. Either PM me, email me at stephen.conoscenti@gmail.com or get me on AIM at CrashDMB237. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Re: Any graphics people?

Wasn't sure which thread to resurrect, but figured this is kind of a graphics question.

I'm looking to see if anyone knows of a site that I can make a DVD out of pictures and videos from the trip my wife and I took out west. I would try to do more on my own, but I'm running low on time and just can't fit it in right now. I'd like to be able to add music and basically have the DVD be a slideshow. I tried Shutterfly, but it doesn't appear they offer that anymore. I don't have a Mac, so I can't do iMovie. I have it on my phone, but it seems like something that would be better done on a computer.

Has anyone done something like this before?

What's the Windows equivalent of iMovie? I would try that.

    Re: Any graphics people?

Kev, Adobe Elements can do this stuff and it's incredibly easy. Basically just drag all your photo files into the project, ditto for music and adjust how long you want things to stay on the screen, when in the timeline you want the music to start/stop/change etc. Output it to any kind of normal video file you could want and upload/save to CD/DVD/USB whatever.

I picked it up to edit my gopro footage from a recent vacation. Minutes if you don't care about fancy transitions. Few more if you do. I followed a couple few minute you tube videos to get going. After that, was done very quickly. Very un-Adobe like product in simplicity. I think I picked it up for around $50 on sale last month. Family watched all the vids/photos Thanksgiving evening with a total of about an hour of effort from me. Hundreds of photos and about 30 minutes of snorkel/hiking videos. It ain't free, but it is easy.

Thanks! I may actually have that, so I'll give it a try. I started messing with iMovies on my iPhone, but it's tedious and I'd rather put something like that together on a computer. Much appreciated!

This is a fairly new idea of mine (literally within the last few days). I've always been artsy and computers/technology interests me. I honestly don't know the routes that are available yet because I haven't done enough homework as this is still a fresh idea. My cousin is a higher up graphic designer at a local company so I am going to pick his brain but do you have any suggestions to get my ball rolling?

I just made a custom blanket from a recent Disney Trip from collage.com. $55. When I get it, will let everyone know if I liked it.

I like branding and maps/wayfinding besides architecture.

Stuff like this. (Not my site)

Looks interesting! My main concern is work available in the field. I don't want to invest more time on another degree, finish, and have trouble finding a job in that field. The cousin I previously mentioned was head of the graphic design department at a company in Chicago, lost his job (company was bought out), and had a similar position with a different company within weeks.
