Florida State gets bounced in Omaha like usual. How the fuck have they never won a CWS?

I think we're going to have OSU and Florida in the finals. That's goig to be kick ass.

I don't like our chances with losing Walker to injury, but we have Lange going Friday against the Beavers, and if he pulls that one off, it's all hands on deck for the winner-take-all game

Yeah, in the sec, big 12, etc. that's true. Although I doubt they'd make it if they didn't win a game in the tournament. There's other at large teams.

But not all conferences get two teams in. Only the conference champion (tournament winner).

Regular season is... the regular season. It's only good for playoff/tournament seeding.

Who cares. We're discussing conference championships.

Regular season is regular season. The tournament winner is the champion.

Texas Tech was #1 in the big 12 regular season. Oklahoma state was second to last (8th).

But okie state won the tournament. Oklahoma state is the big 12 champion.

Im not sure what point you're trying to make anymore.

The subject at hand is what constitutes a conference champion? Regular season or tournament?

I'm just telling you how conference championships work. It's pretty simple.

To the bold: Same thing happened in the big 12. OSU is the champion. But Texas tech was the higher seed. No big deal. No different than football really. A higher seed later doesn't take a conference championship away from the other team. See: Ohio state.
