The premiere was GREAT, IMO. It was everything I wanted it to be. Totally felt like the old show. I am so happy this is back!!!

Thought it was very good but not great. Seemed a bit like a rush job to me. The dialog was not the usual 24 type, the character situations were way different and quite honestly the camera work and post shooting edits lacked the usual fine tuned finish. Do not want to get too specific about much though until people have seen it.

Also - dammit am I spoiled, forgot how irritating commercials are after a few years of DVD/DVR/Roku. Was also surprised that Allstate did not use David Palmer in even one comercial last night - figured they'd jump on that opportunity.

There may be a reason why they can't use a former member of the cast in commercials. Can't remember where I heard or saw someone running into the guy who played Tony Almeda. They asked him if Tony was going to be in this new 24 show and he said he couldn't say. I bet they all have contracts with the show. If 24 is ever shown in re-runs, I bet an Allstate commercial with Dennis Haysbert can't be shown. I'm betting they have a clause in their contract that prohibits them from speaking about the show.

I thought the premiere was good. I think it felt weird for me a bit because Jack was already sort of in the midst of trying to thwart a plot.

I'm not a huge fan of them turning Chloe into the chick from Dragon Tattoo, but I'll get over that.

Definitely potential here.
