Parking & Directions
10,000 parking spots are in the "Brown" & "Orange" lots of the NY State Fair. Shuttles will bring you to the amphitheater.
The Orange lot is approx 1 mile long & the foot bridge (connecting "Brown" to "Orange") over 690 is .8 miles from the parking lot edge & path to the front gate.

Hopefully, it'll be renamed the Wegmans Amphitheater before not too long here, lol. Rather see them get ahold of the sponsorship before some corp. like Pizza Hut get their greasy (pre-made) claws on it. Only a matter of time.

Did you go backstage?
It was pretty cool. They have a meet and greet room where they are trying to get the artists to sign the wall. Of course Miranda didn't do it lol

Anyone on here go to that Miranda chicks show? I'm looking for a verdict on how they did with the locations and traffic flow as far as using the cans go?

I didn't go but talked to many who did.
Parking suckkkkkkkkked took 45+ mins to move BUT it was fair week plus many took shuttles so I suspect normal shows will be much better.
Everyone said the sound was good and views were too.
Fwiw they screens on the roof that hang down too

One thing I think is that bathrooms are lacking plus being all food trucks and parked at the top of the lawn, ahhhh could really suck and as of now they don't have set venders so you don't know what will be offered from show to show

Ok, thanks for the info. Hopefully, they'll have a couple more shows under their belts and they'll be able to work out most of the kinks before the DMB show. Get ready for anything, I suppose.

Ok, so I just gotta share this real quick. So I know this guy from my very brief stay in this Polar Bear club years ago, and one of the members has this big patch of hair missing on the right side of his head. I always thought something was a little off about this guy, because whenever I talked to him, he looked like he was always talking to some person next to me, and after every few sentences he would make this weird, chirping sound. I just ran into him at Home Depot. Well, come to find out, he used to belong to some other club and they would go have belly-flop contests out on Onondaga Lake. Suddenly everything makes sense. I now have this new-profound respect for the guy, as it took all I could muster to hold it all in without bustin a gut.

I for one do not see this being tail-gate friendly.

All they've booked at this place are country acts so nobody I know has actually been there and parked or tailgated.

I say this because it's a wide open lot and you can see for miles up there. Law enforcement is simply not cool. Shuttles? Bad idea.

Oh, I agree. Worse case scenario, I'll just do my old vodka and tonic in the water bottle trick if I have to. And as far as grilling goes, I'm doing it regardless. I'm cooking sausage and peppers, and if they don't like it, they can just sit on it and rotate. I'll go hide behind the horticulture barn and grill if I have to. And I'll bring my Onondaga Lake buddy with me to scare any of them off.

And the whole shuttle thing really turns me off too. They used to do that at Scranton if you got directed to the bottom lots. Not good.

As for the shuttles, worse case you have to walk like 2 miles vs take the shuttle.
That's if you were parked in the furthest spot of the lower lot, walked down to the foot bridge and across, then walked up to the venue. Sure that's a ways but could be better then waiting for shuttles.
The plus side of shuttles vs reports from Miranda, is this will not be durng the fair. Most of the issues for Miranda had to do with the fair traffic/crowd over the concert itself

Just to give some more details that I have been asked and not included above...
The stage is approx 4.5 ft high and curves out in the middle.
Side sections could def have restricted view of bt/Jeff
From the top of the lawn to the main gate is approx 250 yrds.
From the main gate to the edge of the orange lot is approx 300 yrds, this is also where the shuttle are designed to drop off but may or may not based on outside factors like traffic.
There were limited handicapped parking spots at the edge of the walkway/shuttle drop

So best case you are walking approx 550 yrds to get inside and at the top of the lawn.
Worst case you are walking approx 2 miles plus the 550 yrds to get to the lawn (furthest brown lot spots > footbridge > orange lot > walkway)
