Re: ***Official Stockholm, Sweden 2010 Thread***

WTF?? Just got an email from Eventim Sweden (the ticket company):

"The concert with Dave Matthews Band at venue Arenan in Stockholm has
been moved from the 13th February to the 15th March.

Purchased ticket is valid for entry on the new concert date.

If you are unable to attend the concert on the new date, the
purchased ticket must be returned to Eventim by the 28th February
2010 at the latest. After this date no tickets will be refunded.

If you are unable to attend the new concert date your ticket will be
repaid through the outlet where you purchased it in the first place.
The service fee will not be refunded. The refund approximately takes
10 bank days."

This site has the new date : http://www.livenation.se/event/8358/...s-band-tickets

There goes my prepaid no-refund flight tickets...

Yeah it sucks big-time. What I don't get is the called "scheduling conflict" that's said to be the reason behind this. Ah well, at least the show wasn't cancelled.

About your non-refundable flight tickets, did you pay for them by credit card? Most credit card companies offers a refund of the purchased tickets if you present a doctors note saying you can't travel. Might be a long shot but call the bank that issued your CC and ask them about the specific rules. Might save you some cash

Last chance to cancel my plane tickets was today - good thing the news about the changed dates came today and not tomorrow...

Just checked that I paid for the flights with the one card that has travel insurance included I'm covered if I get sick and can't travel. Or even if I happen to miss my flight due to good reason. Anyway, the flights weren't that expensive and I might just go and spend some time in Stockholm.

Looks like I can't make the new date.

I'm still going on the rescheduled date. Looks to be the last show of the tour instead of that being Birmingham.

Wow, talk about great news about the reschedule (for me). As I mentioned earlier in the thread, I'm doing the Volvo Overseas Delivery program in Gothenburg, but the car won't be ready until late Feb/early March, so I was out of luck with the Feb. date. Soooo, I can now schedule the trip around DMB again!

That said, anyone have 2 tickets?

Re: ***Official Stockholm, Sweden 2010 Thread***

Grrrr.

It would cost me Ģ180 to cancel the flights. Will probably still go but it will cost me an extra day's holiday because it's on a Monday. No doubt it will also cost extra to amend the flight and hotel.

I wouldn't mind but I had East Coast Blues and Roots Fest tix and second row tix for Brisbane in 2007. Then they postponed the tour. That cost me a bit (flights to Australia, etc)

Re: ***Official Stockholm, Sweden 2010 Thread***

This postponing is SUCH A BIG SHAME for the DMB management.
If they try to get a foot on the European market this is the best way for DMB to get rid of all sympathies!!!!
I am so sad for all the scandanavian fans who now cannot go there and lose a lot of money...

These two concerts have been the first to sell out and what happened ??

No, please....this is such a bummer ! And it's all for the money...postponing these shows in order to smaller the gap between the European and possible Israelian shows...to save money not to have to cross the pond twice.... IMO

BAD BAD management

Good morning everybody.Still going to the show? Do you lick ass? If you do, contact us at NALAOAM and we can help you. If you donīt, we could use your help in recruiting more NALAOAMers. This is the real "good life". Have a good day, and be sure not to stick your tongue in anyones ass, no matter how much Taco Bell they might have eaten.

Re: ***Official Stockholm, Sweden 2010 Thread***

Hey everyone, unfortunately my travel plans didn't work out to see DMB. I'm getting to Gothenburg March 16-19, then heading to Stockholm from the 19-21.

A couple questions, if anyone wants to help me out.

I hear train is the way to go from Gothenburg to Stockholm, and it sounds pretty easy to do/reasonably priced. Is that true? Should I buy tickets online somewhere in advance?

And since I'm missing DMB, I could use some suggestions of things to do in either city. We'll be staying in the middle of the city in both places. I'm also a big hockey fan... Is there anywhere I could catch a game in either city during that timeframe? I wasn't able to find any schedules or ticketing online.

Thanks!

Train tickets can be bought online here: http://www.sj.se/sj/jsp/polopoly.jsp?d=10&l=en . The earlier you make your reservations, the cheaper they'll be for you. I highly recommend you to take the X2000 trains as they're the fastest ones (roughly 3 hours) compared to most InterCity trains that can take anywhere from 3 1/2 to 5 1/2 hours.

Hockey is a big sport in both cities but unfortunately the regular season ends the week before you arrive (3/13). Both teams are likely to make it to the playoffs but tickets should be hard to come by. All musicals, sporting events etc. is booked through here: http://www.ticnet.se/index.php?langu...A_header_lang1

I live in Gothenburg myself so feel free to hit me up with any questions regarding that city. Drop me an e-mail at tottezilla@gmail.com and we'll talk.

Anyone from the area who knows the venue, and what rules they have on photography? I have tried sending them a couple of emails asking if I'll be allowed to bring my camera inside but haven't got any answer yet.
