Am I in the minority about Time Bomb?

The 1st half of Time Bomb is better than the 2nd half.

I love the calmness, wonderous, thoughtful first half of the song. Of course I do love how the Time Bomb blows up in the end, lol. But the reason why I like this song is not becuase Dave just screams.

I love it all. Just wish it would of lasted longer. Would have been nice if they would have stuck a jam in the middle, much like Lie In Our Graves or something. One of my favs on the album

I love the beginning. The end just sort of ruins it for me. You're probably in the minority, but you're definitely not alone.

I like it for the uniqueness factor. I think that if this song had been released in 1998 people would be salivating over this song now.

Why didn't they put the live Tim electric jam on the studio? That would have been a great transition IMO.

I think if it had been released in 1998 it would have sounded completely different.

I wish they would've added a bit more to the song, maybe another verse, or a bridge somewhere.....

I love the song though, but the first half is def my favorite.

My opinion is pretty balanced about this one. I don't like one half more than the other. I think it's interesting how they go together. But I'm not real big on the song to begin with. I don't dislike it at all, but it's not my favorite from the record either.

Actually really liked the beacon show version better than album version. Dave's voice cracking gave the song more impact. Love the whole song but can't help but think of Pearl Jam during the second half.

Yeaahs, all it needed was a longer artsy build before the explosion. Aggh they just messed it up by a little bit.

No, way too many Tim solos on the album. Boyd could have done a cool solo part though in the calm/dark part

A couple of the solos on the album are Dave.

And Tim does solo before live, so I think it works

The Funny the Way It Is and Dive In guitar solos are both Dave playing on the album. So there aren't really that many Tim solos.

I love the first part, so awesome. It could have been an amazing song. The second part, while it sounds kind of cool in a way, completely ruins the song. I don't even really want to listen to it.

I think its tough to pick the better half of Time Bomb cause the song doesn't work if one was the whole song. What I mean is that if it was either a slow or fast song the whole way, it is a much weaker song.

Eh, not a huge fan of Time Bomb but I think it's decent. I like the first half better but it seems like both halves are necessary to represent Dave's idea of the Time Bomb blowing up.

Love this song...whole thing, beginning to end...geez, wish I was as perfect and wonderful as all the ANTS who have so many opinions...ugh...no disrespect, just wish people would just let it be what it is and stop picking it apart like some carrion in the middle of the road...I love this album...through and through...yes, I am more fond of some tunes moreso than others...but I will never pick them apart and say what the band SHOULD'VE or SHOULDN'T HAVE done...so frustrating!!!

They should have made this one more than it is in the studio. 3 minutes? Come on.

And I hate how it ends like a fucking Nickelback song. The way Dave ends with "I wanna believe in Jesussssss" and then the electric guitars droning out. I can't stand it.

My favorite song on the record. I don't think it's overrated at all. But i am a big fan when Dave loses it. And lyrically, i love existentialism. It reminds me of Dancing Nancies lyrically, but with a Halloween-esque climax. IMO fantastic.

Yea, agreed. The first half had so much potential to me, then drops into that second section. While I like the riff when the singing comes in, I can't help but think right when it hits it sounds like a cheesy James Bond theme song. It should of exploded into the intro riff with some intensity. But who are we to decide, that's just my thoughts.
