    My parents listened to the same music growing up. I feel like they had similar tastes, though my dad was certainly more a music junkie and I feel like Mom listened to what dad liked. Music wasn't important to her, from what I remember.

    His favorite music is/was Frank Sinatra, Motown/Doo Wop like The Four Tops and The Temptations and Neil Diamond and , of course, Elvis. He listened to the Beatles but British invasion rock was not near the top of his favorites. I had to learn about bands like Zeppelin on my own. He never liked hard rock. In the 70's, the disco era dominated the 8 track in the family car.

    Due to his influence, you will find Sinatra, Frankie Valli and Neil Diamond on my Ipod. I love that stuff.

    My parents are those weird people that sorta don't care about music beyond it just being a nice thing that exists. They put the radio on a lot and go see shows every now and then but they aren't like checking out news about bands or buying albums really.

    I can probably say with 99% certainty my mom would say Billy Joel and/or Elton John. My dad...eh..I dunno, CCR or the Stones maybe? My dad loves classic rock so he loves all sorts of bands but don't think he's ever really delved into any beyond hits and prominent album cuts.

    They've seen Harry Connick Jr live like 3 or 4 times, so there's that too .

    So really not sure where my music passion comes from. Certainly not them.

    Dad used to be The Eagles, then we saw Paul McCartney and he's super into The Beatles now.

    I love being able to go to classic rock shows. Seeing legends like Eric Clapton, Bob Dylan, Paul, etc. with him are some of my favorite memories.
