Nice. I'll definitely remember that.

Incredible time in Nola. Had some great food and kick ass time. New favorite bar. The Corner. It's just a sports bar but it was just so damn cool.

New Orleans is always a blast. It's like the American Amsterdam.

You're not kidding. Can't wait to go back!

Absolute or anyone else who has done it before, can you give me the run down on what it takes to boil crawfish? Is it pretty easy to do?

Are you cooking straight up crawfish or doing a boil?

Was thinking of doing a boil with ears of corns, potatoes, etc.

Propane burner with stand. Big pot (with strainer). Big bag of seasoning. The rest is just timing when to throw everything in so its done at the same time. Potatoes in first. Then corn. Then bugs.

    Something like this:

    And this:

Nah, once a year or so. There's a bar downtown that does it really well so my friend and I usually just go there to split a few pounds.

First off, let me join. Second of all check these links out because they'll explain it better than I can:

    Charleston restaurants: http://gardenandgunjubilee.com/local...tanddrink.html

    I don't care if it's touristy, I love Hyman's Seafood.

    http://travel.usnews.com/Charleston_SC/Things_To_Do/

The Battery, Charleston City Market, King St, Meeting St, go on a ghost tour, carriage tour, plantation tour, etc. There's so much to do and it's a beautiful city. Probably my favorite city outside of Georgia.

New Orleans is incredible. The food, drinks, art, architecture, history, music, etc. It has it all. Best thing about NOLA and Charleston is you can just feel the history everywhere you go.

Obviously go to the French Quarter, go to Bourbon just to say you've been there but it's just too gross and crowded. Walk around the Quarter until you find a bar or restaurant you like. The Corner, Patty O' Briens, Jackson Square, get a cocktail and go sit on the banks of Mississippi when the weather is nice and watch the steamboats, Gumbo Shop was good, Toulouse St is great, NOLA City Park, and WWII Museum is very cool.

I gotta get back to both these cities ASAP. All around great Southern culture.

Can't believe we haven't talked about this but thoughts and prayers to everyone affected by the flooding in Baton Rouge. My hometown was hit by a terrible flood 22 years ago and I know how bad it can get and this flood is a thousand times worse. Absolutely heartbreaking to see 40K homes damaged and tons of people losing everything they own. 13 people dead so far....amazing that the national media is just now getting around to this. Feel so awful for everyone down there.

Too bad our president isn't up for re-election or he might show his face down there or at least the state ya know?

Almost 80 here today. Stood in line for the BBQ truck in my neighborhood drinking mimosas in t-shirts and shorts.

Glorious glorious day in the south.

Nice! It's finally getting chilly here. Froze my ass off in Athens Saturday night because I didn't take my jacket to the game

oh and the sun dresses were still out despite it being middle November.

Please keep everyone in East Tennessee in your thoughts and prayers. I keep reading that Gatlinburg is literally about to burn to the ground. The fire is spreading at a rapid pace.

Absolutely gorgeous day in Austin today. Took one of my dogs out to the disc golf course with a friend. Light weight long sleeve shirts were all that were needed.

Great weather this past weekend. Went to a pet-related festival nearby they called Woofstock. Not a cloud in the sky, about 70º.

We spent the previous weekend in Miami, 4 days. I was diligent about sunscreen and shade and didn't get a bit of color. A few hours in the park yesterday though and I'm nice and red

Now I get to fly up to Boston for work for a couple days and enjoy their lovely weather...
