Re: Trench Coat Man From C'ville

i see it as this. dave goes around and talks to everyone telling to go right to stay and scrap ast stop (already a long ass show by then)

dave waves of monk.

guy comes on stage. carter reacts to realizing what a security breach it was. when dave starts into stay carter stops the beat and reacts again to the shock of it all

so...when carter does that little hook shot thing.....is that when hes throwing the stick at him? also...Abi was ending right when the guy came out...so regardless of what was coming next or what did come next why didint the band just stop playing for a few minutes and discuss what to do next?...they oftne take some time and talk before songs..why would dave start the next song so fast just to get the hell out of there?..if they realy felt that they needed to get off stage due to scare then why not leave the stage right after ABI??

i would agree with this having been there and seeing that youtube video a few times. carter is still is looking around and playing ABI when Dave goes into Stay.

What scares me is it looked like this guy was on the stage for a while. Why didnt security take him out. I saw the same stuff at the Meadows last year and to be honest it freaked me out.

I was 7th row and saw the whole thing. The guy appeared and was standing between the drum set and stefan. Probably 10ft from Dave just staring at him. He had this really sketchy looking expression on his face like he was about to do something bad. You could tell he wasn't right in the head. Anyways, then security grabbed him, people booed, the band all looked at what was going on, looked at each other, then launched into a "hurried" stay. I think it was a great show, Last Stop or not. I had a blast, Dave and the band played their hearts out, I leave with no regrets.

Sorry he smashed that guy being an ass in the fourth row in the forhead with a ball-peen hammer, he is human, you know.

I've been to many DMB shows where people were causing a ruckus and noticed only drunken fools got into this type of thing with others around them.

Yelling and freaking out are usually the best ways to quell a situation, right? Work at the office? At the beach? How about with your friends?

I don't need to be anywhere specific to know what's right and what's wrong.
    Way to exagerate.

    Thanks!

No exagerration. Last show I saw near my hometown featured lots of really cool guys throwing lawn chairs into the crowd in front of them. They are human, you know. We should forgive them.

I won't be the guy you seeing screaming needlessly at anyone at any future DMB concert.

    That's someone else.

There is another much better video of it that was taken from the house left (stage right) side. Actually at the point the guy comes out, Dave is looking directly in his direction the entire time, as is Stephan. Dave watches the guy being pushed back behind Stephan's amps and remains looking in the backstage direction for quite a little while before turning back to face the crowd.

I was thinking that Carter thought it was some fan and chucked a stick. Then he attitudes changes immediately when he relized it wasn't a fan, it was Trenchcoat Man.

    Trench Coats at DMB?

if he did throw the stick before the dude showed up, i think he just did it (in an oddly dramatic manner) because the stick was wor and sounding dull so he got rid of it to just start using a new one. more innocent reasons, perhaps, but possible.
