Re: 2016-17 NFL Season Thread
Touchdown Tom says some nice things about Aaron Rodgers
Quote:
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Call it respect from No. 12 to No. 12, as New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is among those marveling at the performance of Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers in Sundays NFC divisional-round win over the Dallas Cowboys.
I think he does things that no one in the league has ever done, or can do, just because of his physical ability, Brady said Monday morning during his weekly interview on sports radio WEEI. Some of the plays he makes are just phenomenal.
Rodgers 36-yard connection to tight end Jared Cook with 13 seconds remaining to set up the winning field goal in the Packers 34-31 victory certainly qualifies. Rodgers rolled to his left on the play, throwing across his body to Cook along the left sideline.
I think he makes everything look so simple because he has such an efficient delivery, Brady said on the program. Everything really looks effortless with him, which is the amazing part. Hes definitely working hard, but hes making hard look easy; its a very effortless style he plays with. The velocity of the ball, the placement of the ball, I mean, hes just an incredible player. He works very hard at it, hes a very talented player, and hes just having an incredible season.
I always love watching his tape, admiring the things he can do, because I cant do many of those things.
Whenever hes on, I usually stay up and watch.
Rodgers and the Packers visit the Atlanta Falcons next Sunday in the NFC Championship Game (3:05 p.m. ET), while Brady leads the Patriots against the visiting Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC Championship Game (6:40 p.m. ET).
