Wow. Sorry it didn't work out between you two. Did you have a prenup?

Will be back in the States in June so will most likely see the Chicago show. Was the most recent tour just the three of them as well?

Yea. Tho the three of them (with help of some amazing visuals/lighting) still put on a fantastic show, I did find it feeling a touch hollow. I miss their keys player

I saw them on the Kveikur tour and they had like 12 people on the stage between their strings and brass section. It was awesome.

And I agree, Kjartan was really important for their sound I think. I thought Kveikur was an awesome album, but it was definitely a big change in direction.

I will definitely be seeing them in STL

I saw them in early 2013 (sans band member), but pre-Kjartan release, and I thought it was still fucking amazing.

I wont go again until they put out some new material though.

I saw them once with Kjartan and once without. Both times had the orchestra. Two of the best shows I've ever seen.

I did! With the confirmation no Coachella for them in 2017, felt like I had to. P decent seats, but wish the floor was GA.

Speaking of Kjartan: anyone hear his new album/opera?

The first piece is quite good; I like it a lot. The other 3 pieces might grow on me more. Not 100% my style.

Got my tickets! Will be my second time seeing them, the first time I saw them they had a string and horn section, so I'm hoping it will be equally as cool with just the three of them.

^ It was definitely a less explosive experience for me, but it's worth pointing out that I didn't get to see the whole show and it was at the end of a festival where it rained all weekend, so I was kinda ready to be done with the whole weekend by the time they finally took the stage.

But I felt like they were missing a limb. It wasn't as big and grandiose. Still amazing because Jónsi's voice is unicorn magic, but the whole experience wasn't quite as powerful.

Saw them last summer on this tour (my 5th time seeing them ever or something like that). The light show with just the 3 of them was one of the best light shows I've ever seen at a concert. It was a great show in a theater setting.

What'd they do different for the light show versus when having a whole band on stage?

I don't know if it's because it's just the 3 of them, but for this tour they just made the light show a major focus for whatever reason. It's just a very elaborate light show (in relation to the stage size, this isn't U2's 360 tour obviously).

Saw them this weekend in Austin. Great show, but a little short. Started after 8 and finished around 10:15, with an intermission.

They came out 3 times to take a bow, but no encore.
