Would American Idol risk their fanbase who might not know what you're telling us? Who might say, "Hey that sounds lame...Screw American Idol!" I just don't see American Idol doing that, or even them having a case to sue any of their artists based on musical differences.

Like I said, I don't watch reality TV so I'm not really familiar with contractual structures of their "actors".

many people believe that its better to actually come in 2nd or 3rd on AI because you still get the publicity of being in the finale but you're not obligated to any record deal, so you're free to do whatever you want with whoever you want for your first album. the only thing the runners up are required to do is go on the tour.

once the AI contract is up, PP could make an album that sounds like whatever he wants. but this first one will be heavily influenced by the heads of AI and their partners.

ill be glad when this contract crap with AI is up because lillywhite actually tweeted to phillip that he wants to produce his next album.

It mostly sounds like the same song over and over, a bunch of 4/4 with extremely safe vocals and lyrics written for teenagers.

In other words, whether we approve or not, it's probably going to sell a bajillion copies.

Not bad at all, all things considered. With a strong single or two, people are going to eat this stuff up. Sure he has the dave sound, but you can hear Mraz and M&S as well.

An idea for him down the road; I think he should try doing a collaboration with some country artist. I think that could be pretty successful as well.
