I think there is something to this, I mean it's pretty much the common denominator it ever case, that and the sex.

It there was not texting ot social media it would be astronomically harder for these things to happen.

I haven't crunched the numbers, and don't care to, I'm just making a snide remark that it seems the number of cases that come out of Texas are wholly unbalanced compared to the rest of the union.

This stuff happened when I was in school. There was no social media. I will say however that social media probably makes it easier to get caught/word spreads more quickly. Also, a lot of these stories were usually contained to their local news back in the day. Now the whole world knows about it.

Not just that but it used to be almost impossible to prove. That all changed with text messages.

I really shouldn't be commenting about it like this on a message board, even if only ONE person who occasionally posts here knows and met me and I am unknown to pretty much everyone else on here. This incident happened in the sparsely populated northeastern corner of Montana near the North Dakota/Canadian border, where I live, and from what I've heard the story has been upgraded from "sexting" to she actually had sex with one student. This hasn't been reported in the news as of yet, as an investigation is currently pending. She is/was recently married, but nearly called off her engagement because she had feelings for this particular boy.
