Your problem with DMB is not seeing them in other venues. The venues themselves can make or break a show. If you traveled to Saratoga Performing Arts Center or the Gorge to see the band, you could not but help the effervescence of your surroundings (If you call yourself a true music fan). Also, I would like to add the fact that DMB is not a mainstream act and get hardly any consistent radio play. With that said, they still are one of the top touring acts every year in the USA. DMB is a lifestyle to hard-cores, much like the dead heads back in the day. We care about Greening efforts because the band cares about them. We care about recycling because the band cares about recycling. It goes beyond just the music. That is what you must realize.
Just my opinion..and when I said irrelevant back then, its because I didn't know about them. And I say "like the rock esque" because everyone I know now started liking them religiously after Big Whiskey and Timmy touring.
