Interesting - I just looked it up, I honestly had no idea the Crosley made any tables that weren't those portable 'turntable in a box' things with the awful ceramic cartridges. It looks like....an actual turntable and the pic shows an AT cartridge.

It appears they're also trying to jump into the "audiophile" game with this one too:

Looks like their version/knock-off of an entry level Pro-Ject, Music Hall, or Rega table.

Well with an Ortofon cart and Pro-Ject tonearm it's certainly miles away from what we normally think of when we hear "Crosley".
For that price the Pro-Ject Carbon is an easy choice but it's the first Crosley I've set eyes on that I would allow my records to be played on.

Thats a surprisingly decent looking Crosley, and good on the folks at Pro-ject for getting their tone arms on a product name well know in the casual vinyl market. I hope they make a killing and sink some of that $ into R&D on their higher end lines.
I like the marketing buzz words used too, "Audio Grade MDF". Im not aware that MDF is graded for audio vs non-audio applications. MDF is MDF, and it happens to be acoustically pretty dead. Good choice in material, definitely leads you to think there is a special process for finding the really great audiophile MDF.

I got this turntable from my Dad who is by no means a turntable expert, but was excited about getting for me. Happy to hear it's not the POS this thread was beginning to make it out to be.

I have R2T and UTTAD to enjoy, and got some old records from my dad (Michael Jackson, Guess Who, Billy Joel, etc). Real excited.

It should be more than fine for you to enjoy those records. Sound quality will be okay, and if properly aligned it won't ruin your records. Welcome to the vinyl club, be ware - it can be addicting!

Yep, you are good to go. Welcome to the hobby! Make sure to watch a couple of youtube videos on setting up the counterweight/tracking force before you start playing records. And if you want to keep going down the rabbit-hole join us in the Vinyl Collectors Thread in the non-DMBc forum. Tons of news, advice, opinions, and good people over there.
